This was our third wildlife tour in a span of four days so at this point we had become pseudo-experts. What I liked about Adventure Tofino Wildlife Tours is they are the most efficient. It was the shortest tour and within that time we saw harbour seals 🦭, a black bear 🐻 and a raft of sea otters 🦦. The tour guide said his boat was the fastest in the fleet so we seemed to get to places quite quickly.

The guide warned us we may not see black bears because they hadn't seen many. But then he heard where there was one and after fifteen or so minutes we got to the black bear. And like every tour we were respectfully far away from the black bear. I've attached a photo of the bear and it's at 30x zoom.

For the harbor seals we were closer and even closer to the raft of sea otters, which was the highlight of the tour. I know that the black bear is supposed to be the highlight but I would rather see animals closer and it appeared that sea otters were not as skittish.

As for equipment, this tour started at the nicest office though you have to pay for parking. The flotation suits looked quite new and very clean. This tour's boat was the most comfortable and easiest for viewing all around. Only one binocular was supplied for the whole tour to share so I was glad we brought our own.

The whole tour cost almost $500 CAD. It's questionable whether it was worth it to see a black bear far away for twenty minutes, some harbor seals for a few minutes and a raft of sea otters for fifteen minutes. But I am...

Our family of four recently went on the bear watching tour with Adventure Tofino, and we had an absolutely wonderful experience. From start to finish, everything was incredibly smooth, comfortable, and most importantly—we saw bears, sea otters, harbor seals, and bald eagles. Our guide, Shaun, was fantastic. He was laid-back, friendly, and clearly knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife. He gave us a great rundown of what to expect on the tour and made sure to educate us throughout about the animals’ behavior and the surrounding ecosystem. His calm and confident demeanor really put everyone at ease. We were lucky enough to see three bears during the tour, and watching them in their natural habitat was just magical. The boat itself was excellent—very comfortable, and we stayed totally dry the entire time, which was much appreciated! Even with a couple of other small groups onboard, the seating never felt cramped, and everyone had a great view. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking. British Columbia really showed off for us with clear blue skies, beautiful mountains, and emerald-colored waters. It’s truly one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever seen. All in all, this tour was the highlight of our trip. If you're in the Tofino area, we can't recommend Adventure Tofino enough. Thank you, Shaun, for an...

Small family business, friendly and highly customer oriented ! We were on a trip with Jens on Okt. 01st.. Normally a trip lasts 2-2,5 h. After 2 hours we have only seen a manatee, see lions and an eagle nest but no bear. Our skipper Jens was as disappointed as we were and extended the trip to a river mouth but again no bear there. Then he got the information of a bear spotted far away. After clarification that no one on our boat has later dates Jens extended the trip again, drove to the place and we saw our first bear. But another tourist boat did't respect the wildlife, sailed nearly onto the shore and so the bear disapperared into the wood. On our way back we saw a second bear but again the other tourist boat was there and again the bear disappeared immediately. But Jens assumed the bear only crossing the headland and appearing again at the opposite bay. So he extended the trip a third time, circumnavigate the headland and actually the bear turned up there. Jens shut down the motor at once and we slowly drifted into the bay while the bear approaches towards us on the shoreline. So we could observe him for 15 min and it was a great experience. The whole trip then lasted 3,75 hours instead of 2,5 hours - they try everything to satisfy their customers. Thanks a lot to Jens...
