Mark Hobson Gallery — Attraction in Tofino

Such a special place for me. You gotta go in for a browse at their art cards, blocks and of course their main art pieces. Very helpful staff. My Aunt purchased a Mark Hobson print of orcas chasing a seal underwater, way back in 1996. She brought it back to teenage me in the UK and I framed it & loved it. It came with me for my Marine Biology university days, and I then emigrated to Canada. After living in Qualicum Beach, Whistler, Victoria and then finally Tofino ... I finally walked into this little unknown store and there was my piece looking at me! I never knew where my Aunt brought it from, but here was the home of the artist and the original ! Wow ! I met Mark and told him the story, and how I had to leave my big framed print behind in the UK at my parents home. He then very generously gifted me with a free print of the same image, and he even signed it. Just so it could continue to be with me. What a guy ! Thanks Mark for guiding me on my journey from little UK over to big adventurous...
