Sacred Stone Spa — Local services in Tofino

Always there when I need them. Just walking in to Sacred Stone gives me a sense of relief. The front end staff are very easy-going and accommodating. I've been going for years for RMT massage and recently started acupuncture with them. The combination of Karyn's highly skilled massage at the perfect intensity brings range of motion back to my body. Adding Samantha's excellent and very patient acupuncture has brought a whole new level of relief. After the first session I had a noticeable difference. After just four acupuncture sessions I've been able to keep my range of motion with the exercise she's recommended. That is incredible. After working as a mechanic for 25 years and trying dozens of exercises, "clam shells" have created a new and stable base line. Something so simple I wish I had known all this time! When scheduling conflicts come up they have always accommodated me. And if Karyn isn't available they have teamed me up with another of their incredible and friendly RMT staff. Karen and the entire Sacred Stone team have always been phenomenal. They are a group of personable, knowledgable, genuinely skilled professionals. For those reasons and about a million others, they are the front runners in British Columbia. I so appreciate their authenticity with residents, a "Great to finally meet you, I've seen you around town!" goes a long way in a land of over-tourism. As well as their thoughtful interactions with visitors to the area, making them feel welcomed and celebrated as a part of the wellness community.

Occasionally in off-season, Sacred Stone will offer adjusted rates on products and services for residents of Tofino and Ucluelet, which is something not a lot of places do anymore. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SPA!!! Prior to going on vacation with a group of three friends and I called and confirmed that this spa had RMTs as we all have coverage through out work insurance so our services would be free. So we were shocked that after we paid they magically don't have any on staff who are RMT ( registered massage Therapists). When we complained and asked to speak to a manager they never contacted us back. So we listed a complaint with the BBB and only then did they contact us back and said that they couldn't afford to refund us ($500). The owner refused in writing to admit that they were at fault and didn't accept that they should not be using the term therapist as the individual who work there are not licensed. I go to Tofino quite a bit and i will never use them again as this is a scam to get tourist in the door and rip them off after. Absolutely disgusting to treat people...
