Worth every penny! First the boat ride to Moon jelly is gorgeous and Mike shares as much as you want about the history of the tribal land we will be on. He pointed out the baby seals onshore, they were adorable. They provide long, big, warm comfy, water wind resistance jackets for the boat ride and on the dock. (Their dog, Zeke, is an added bonus for us on the boat ).
The boathouse is restorative to the soul, it is sensory bliss.
The feel of the warm seaweed in the tub is a tactile experience that’s not slimmy as you might think it’s comforting. I felt like a kid playing with it.My whole body relaxed.
The fresh water hot tub is refreshing without seaweed.
The shower gives a great cold plunge from the creek water. We think the ocean was warmer water and Mike confirmed, still a cold plunge too.
Paddle boarding was epic around the area.
We stopped and got food at the sandwich shop and BC liquor store for some chilled wine in town before the pick up at the dock. Next time I would add some smoked salmon from Nass foods right by where you get picked up. We could just snack all day which was perfect with the herbal tea and fresh cool filtered water they provided.
They had a speaker but we just enjoyed the sounds of nature.
Being a bodyworker for 30+ years I have had the pleasure to enjoy spas when I travel. This is my new favorite.
So grab some food, family, friends, people you love to play with and go just be at Moon jelly bathhouse. That’s what I did...
Read moreOur afternoon at Moon Jelly Bathhouse was one of the most soul-nourishing experiences in recent memory. The seaweed baths were otherworldly, and I felt amazing after my soaks. Dipping in the cold salt water off the dock was incredibly refreshing and enlivening, and we loved having the paddle boards to take around and explore the area. Floating, surrounded by with bioluminescent moon jellies in the cold water, warm sun, blue sky, wispy clouds and breezy trees overhead… my day at Moon Jelly Bathhouse was a peak experience.
The bathhouse is clean, well cared for, and thoughtfully curated, with plush towels and robes, cozy spaces for lounging, beautiful and interesting coffee table books, and tasty local tea brewed and ready when we arrived. It felt secluded in nature but luxe and protected. It was simplicity at its most luxurious.
Mike made us feel right at home and was a fantastic host. We can’t...
Read moreMy partner and I spent a blissful day at Moon Jelly in July and we haven't stopped talking about it since. Every single component of our visit was perfect, from getting the chance to talk with Kaeli & Mike and witness their passion and excitement around running the operation to the hours of having the place all to ourselves to alternate between the hot tubs and cold sound. The construction of the dock itself is exquisite, and every amenity you could possibly want for your time there has been thought of and provided. All in all, it was the most delightful blend of hospitality and solitude, mixed with the absolute best of what PNW beauty can be. I have no doubt...
