Welcome to Slowsouth Pizza, where pizza dreams come true and time seems to slow down as you savor every bite. This hidden gem, tucked away in Brockton Village, is like walking into a cozy Italian pizzeria out of a quaint European village.
As you approach the entrance, you're greeted by the warm, inviting aroma of wood-fired pizza that draws you in, as if being hugged by an Italian grandmother. The moment you step inside, you notice the rustic charm of the place, with its exposed brick walls, wooden accents, and mismatched chairs that feel as if they've been collected from various European homes over the years.
You find yourself contemplating whether to sit at the bar, where you can watch the pizza chef in action, or grab a spot by the window to enjoy people-watching while you eat. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, with the constant buzz of conversation and laughter filling the air. The staff greets you like a long-lost friend, making you feel part of the family.
As you peruse the menu, you realize that deciding will take much work. The tantalizing descriptions of the various pizza combinations have your mouth watering before you bite. And wait to get me started on the appetizers. The Sicilian Arancini is a must-try; those deep-fried rice balls filled with tomato sauce, ground beef, and green peas are divine. I still dream about how the mozzarella oozed out as I cut into them and how the crispy exterior perfectly complemented the rich tomato sauce on the side.
But let's get back to the pizza, shall we? The brilliance of Slowsouth's menu lies in its ability to cater to classic pizza lovers and those looking for a more adventurous experience. While I must admit that I usually stick to the traditional Margherita slice, I can never resist adding a few extra toppings to spice things up. The tangy tomato sauce, the creamy mozzarella, fior di latte, and the fresh basil leaves create a symphony of flavors that dance on my taste buds.
The Salsiccia & Rapini pizza is an excellent choice for those who prefer a bit more excitement. The heat from the spicy sausage pairs beautifully with the slightly bitter rapini, creating a unique and delicious taste sensation that I never knew I needed. Plus, the 12-inch size is perfect for sharing with friends or enjoying all by yourself (I won't judge).
As you sit at your table, enjoying the heavenly pizza and the relaxed atmosphere, you can't help but feel a sense of contentment. Slowsouth Pizza is more than just a restaurant; it's a place where memories are made, stories are shared, and you can escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, even for a little while. So next time you're in the mood for some mouthwatering pizza and a one-of-a-kind dining experience, make your way to Slowsouth Pizza. Trust me, you won't be...
Read more✨ This one felt like Sunday lunch at nonna’s — only cooler, with better music, and a wood-fired oven humming in the background.
SlowSouth Pizza doesn’t just serve food, it serves memory. There’s something unmistakably soulful about this place. From the warm lighting to the smell of dough crisping in the oven, it’s like being wrapped in the kind of comfort only Southern Italy (and maybe your grandmother) knows how to give.
Let’s start with that Spektacular Panini. Pressed to golden perfection, it was smoky, creamy, and just the right amount of bite from the arugula. The smoked prosciutto gave it that old-world depth, while the burrata melted into every warm crevice of the bread. One of those sandwiches that makes you close your eyes after the first bite.
Then came the star of the show: the Pistachio Pizza. Honestly? A revelation. The pistachio pesto was nutty and lush, the fior di latte was delicate and fresh, and the mortadella. Oh, the mortadella added this velvety richness that paired so perfectly with the drizzle of honey. It was sweet, savoury, and beautifully balanced, like if your nonna had a TikTok and knew how to go viral.
The vibe? Cozy but cool. The food? Traditional roots with modern magic. You can tell there’s care in every corner of this place — from the ingredients to the people working behind the counter. I’ll definitely be coming back for more, and so should you! Warmly recommended!

Read moreTastes like 241 or Pizza Nova, but double the price. Not impressed. I wouldn't be surprised if they use canned "pizza sauce." The crust was under seasoned and did not definitely enjoy a day or three cold proofing as there was no depth of flavour.
The pizza left an odd textural feeling in the mouth, almost as if there was xantham gum or something similar in the sauce.
For similar cost and proximity, get your pizza from Maker or Badiali.
Ownership: for the prices you charge, you should be cold fermenting your dough for 2 or 3 days and be using raw DOP tomato sauce for your pizza. These changes alone will give you a better product. Go enjoy a slice at Maker or Badiali to see what I'm talking about. They can teach you a thing or two if you want your business to last. I honestly couldn't taste anything "authentic" or "handcrafted" in your slices.
Edit: Thanks for taking the time to reply back. It was a whole pizza that was ordered. Standard Pepperoni and mushrooms. I'll try you guys again in a few months once you've fine-tuned your operation. I get that it takes time to figure things out when you first open. Do go try those pizza places I recommended (if you haven't already), because they're competing at your price point and they make better pizza. I want local businesses to...
