Oof... I just wish Seiko Japan knew how terrible this place is.
I previously sent in my SPB143 because it was loosing 40 seconds per day. They sent it back to me all scratched up, including the case, the caseback, the hands. There was dust under the crystal as well. I sent it back to them (at my cost), and they fixed it. No apologies, nothing.
I just my SPB313 because the crown was not screwing it properly. They tried to convince me it was "user mishandling" and charge me $800 to replace. I contacted Seiko Japan, and after 2-3 weeks, Odyssey Time reached back saying they would change de case under warranty. Then when I receive the watch back, I notice that there is a bunch of dust under my crystal, and the watch is running 102 seconds slow per day. 100+ SECONDS/DAY! They told me that I "just asked to change the case, not check the movement". Are you kidding me? The watch was running well before, and there was no dust. No Quality Control whatsoever. I just sent it back to them, and now waiting for watch back. I am expecting the worse again.
After paying 75$ of insured shipping, I do wish I just spent 250$ instead at a good local watchmaker, out of warranty. I will avoid Odyssey time at all cost going...
Read moreI was having issues with my Seiko watch and this is the only authorized Seiko repair place in all of Canada. I was nervous to mail off my watch, especially seeing all the poor reviews online. To add to that, my watch warranty was on the cusp of ending just as it was being shipped off to Odyssey, so I just assumed that they would probably purposely delay their repairs and claim that my watch was out of warranty to force me to pay for the work. A month after I sent the watch away I contacted Odyssey to get an update from them. I had no problem reaching someone who was able to let me know that my watch had arrived literally on the day my warranty was due to expire, but they would honour the repair at no additional cost to myself and that my watch was in the queue to be repaired. I was told most repairs would take approximately 6 weeks to be completed from the date they received it. Sure enough, I received my watch back in the mail exactly 6 weeks after they received it. So far it seems to be working well! I notice some of the negative reviews are quite old, so hopefully Odyssey has made some...
Read moreBe very careful with this place. I just had an unbelievable issue with them. I have sent Seiko diver for a repair under warranty for a simple bezel spring replacement. When they returned the watch to me I was shocked! They are so incompetent that they have literally bent the watch case beneath the bezel leaving noticeable gaps, wholes and scratches by using unprotected tools and with no quality control since they returned to me obviously damaged watch (see pictures). They actually tried to take off the bezel on both sides of the case (6 and 12 o'clock). They didn't admit their fault but offered to replace the whole case at no cost in 6 months time since they don't have parts in stock which I refused. Nothing else was done to fix or at least admit their mistake for a barbaric repair/damage made. It was take it or leave it. On the other hand, how they can replace the whole case if they are incompetent to take off a simple bezel. I am contacting SEIKO directly and hoping that they can resolve this...
