Sotheby's International Realty Canada — Local services in Toronto

We have been dealing with 2 agents from Sotherby's and it has been nothing but very difficult and it has only gotten worse. Now that they have our MLS listing they are not responsive to clear up our MLS listing mistakes and to upload the correct pics. They have constantly made us do their leg work and where we have been doing too much of their accountabilities. Our listing agreements indicate they must vet all property material and marketing with us prior to going live or distributing. Not only have they not done this but it is proof why we requested such engagement as they have proven time and time again they lack the professional know how about accuracy of details, crisp messaging and ensuring our listing is accurate and working as required. All they wanted was our MLS listing. Thankfully we limited the timeline and so we must wait until the deadline with our two agents to be done with this hell that we are currently in. We decided to go to Sotherby's as we "thought" they would be the best in the industry and have the "International" engagement, and their professionalism and success rate would serve us well. So far this has not been the case. Ideally we should have gone with an agent from within our area who are well known and know our area, and it is a great mistake on our part for not following our gut instinct, but we honestly thought Sotherby's was the best from having a long reach out to international clients as well. We were told by our agent that Sotherby's has an inside connection with Immigration Canada and know all new comers to Canada and can engage them first about home ownership. This too is not a full truth, as it has become evident fairly quickly once we signed with our agents that they do not have an active list of potential international clients, anymore than any other agent that tries to tap into such buyers. There is a real issue with our 2 agents and everyone who hears about our unfortunate engagement with Sotherby's is disappointed and feel our pain. We are in the process of escalating our issue with the Yonge St Broker of Record. We were told nothing will change as they all stick together.
