I noticed this venue services sharply declined over the years. I bought a Groupon for the ice-cream cake and there was no nonsense in using it until recently. I showed up with a PDF file of the Groupon on my phone like I've always done and had no problem with it until now. I guess the owner changed, especially one that is still living in the stone ages because the employee as well as the owner tells me that I need to either print it out on paper or have an app. Just note that a customer does not have to do anything if it is within their ability to redeem it. I don't know if they ever heard of a thing called a tablet or a smartphone and that they can download apps on it. And there is the Groupon app for merchants that you can redeem Groupon by entering or scanning the voucher code. Gasp! Really?! Yes really because this is the 21st century. I suggest they get with the times because they just lost business. I can get ice-cream cake near my place which is much further away than Robson street. The only reason I would do business with them would be the Groupon. No worries because I got a refund from Groupon and not planning on wasting time going back there. Plus I know now not to buy it anymore because of their such restrictive rules to Groupon.
The cakes I got before were not good, not bad. Typical Dairy Queen ice-cream cake. I found them not to have too many variety to choose from. It would be great if there were...
Read moreLove the Dairy Queen. This is a small shop on Pacific Avenue in Yaletown. It’s busy in the summer when it gets hot. Lots of walking business. Obviously the ice cream, dessert and other treats such as blizzards are the most popular item although they do also sell packages of things like dilly bars, and ice cream cakes and the lake. I’ve never tried their hotdogs. They seem to have there. They don’t seem to have hamburgers or any other fair. There’s no place to sit here but so you can sit outside or walk along the sea while you eat. There’s also Davide land park across the street.not particularly late but as a snack after dinner sits alongside row restaurants, including Subway at Chinese tea shop Mexican restaurant and more can enjoy savoury fair and then a treat afterwards if you like. Also close to the subway station....
Read moreVery odd experience. First my order was rang up wrong, which is fine, it was corrected. I noticed they only have a few of the burger item on the menu (two chicken sandwiches) so I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich.
I noticed the chicken came cold out of a bin in the cooler and was then microwaved.
I asked for a refund and said I thought the chicken would be fresh. The staff member seemed upset and said it was fresh. I said it came cold out of the cooler. He said it was fresh chicken made yesterday.
Yesterday??? I’m not sure how selling day old cold chicken popped in the microwave is supposed to be satisfactory, so needless to say I continued with the refund and he was extremely unhappy.
I actually worked at Dairy Queen when I was a teenager and never once did we have a big of...
