Good afternoon.

Not sure if this is the right place to connect with someone regarding a complaint. On Wednesday March 19 my partner and I attended the killswitch engage concert. He was in the circle pit and slipped and fell and cracked his eyebrow open. No biggie…. Cleaned him up and he got the ok from the front stage bouncer that he was good to carry on. Not even 20 minutes after that things took a turn for him. He was kicked out by a staff member for bleeding too much and another staff member said he was too drunk. I can confirm that he was not drunk. We had 2 beers at the show and a drink with our meal before attending. My concern is that he was kicked out for bleeding too much and was clearly disoriented. I was still down on the floor waiting for him to come back when he called me. He remembers everything up until being asked to leave. He was kicked out alone and bleeding and was never offered medical treatment. As a healthcare worker myself I find this disgusting and disgraceful. When I came up to go find him outside the staff were quite rude to me when I was leaving the venue. He had a concussion and no one helped him instead kicked him out. What if he had have been alone and left unattended all night? Luckily I was with him. People have died from similar events and I am not impressed. As avid concert people we will not be returning to your facility. Horrible experience!

After waiting 4 months I finally got a response and this was it “ Hi Julie,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Guardteck Security is our security and first aid provider. Upon review, their reports state that medical attention was offered and refused”

My response…. “Medical attention was most definitely NOT refused because it wasn’t offered!!!!

I was told he was kicked out from bleeding too much by one person and that he was too drunk from another. He was cleared by a bouncer at the front stage and then things got worse shortly after. No one offered him help.

I am nurse and when I went out your staff argued with me about the situation. Even if he did refuse which he did not you do not throw a person out with a head injury for god sakes! I had words with your front door staff on how disgusted i was over their decision to boot him alone. They did not care! Screw the medical reports they are covering their ass. I was there and it was not offered. I can go higher up with this story if you wish! I’ve been trying for 4 months to get someone to contact me about this matter. How could someone remember this with 1000’s of people that come and go? Did they get his name? No…. Maybe it was someone else who declined medical attention. Look up the grizzly in Nanaimo 2006 and the death that occurred there from someone being told to leave. He was not combative and woulda taken medical attention if it was offered but no I tended to him all night long. We go to several concerts and this has not once happened. Show me the reports WITH time stamps! We should resolve this sooner than later. Do you think I’d be so persistent if medical attention was given or offered?? But no you chose to be silent about it to protect your reputation. My reputation far exceeds yours. I am not someone who rocks the boat but Jesus you guys are terrible. We want free shows for the one that he was...

Cleaning is not their strong point! The bathroom on the main floor is an all-gender, but smells more like an all-species! And I won't even start about having to watch where you step in there... recommend you brave the line up and use the bathrooms on the second floor. And then there is the issue of the bar! Wow! Is there legislation in place regarding deposit fees? Hubby and I were out last night and bought 2 insanely over-priced cups of wine, one of which was very short-poured. To add to it, we did the math after the transaction went through and we were definitely also over-charged. It wasn't until I scanned the QR code on the glass during intermission that I discovered there was a $1.50 deposit on EACH cup!  And when we tried to return them for the deposit, the venue bar was closed and I was told the deposit is only returned through certain return routes. Nowhere was it posted about there being a (non)refundable "deposit". Pretty sure that's actually called a surcharge. But it works well for the venue: everyone pays an extra $1.50 for low grade, over priced beverages, leaves their cups behind and the venue cashes in on them a second time and pockets the bonus on each cup!!! Nice scam Vogue...

Went here to see Tom Papa as part of the Just For Laughs Vancouver comedy festival. There was a short lineup to get in when we arrived. It wasn’t long before we were inside. There is a nice looking dark wood bar as soon as you enter. We didn’t get anything from it but it added to the ambience of the place. Tom Papa started about 30 minutes after the 7pm time listed on the ticket. So even when it finished it was not that late at night, which was nice. We had good seats in the left orchestra row 5 so quite close to the stage, as you can see from the pictures. They were reasonably priced at $50 each compared to other shows or concerts. We were right by an exit which had a railing in front of us so there was lots of leg room and no rows in front of us. The show was great and he had us laughing for the whole show. These were the best seats we’ve had for a comedy show and we’ll definitely come back here to see another comedy show or concert again.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Venue with Great Atmosphere I recently attended a show at the Vogue Theatre, and I was really impressed! The venue itself is a beautiful blend of historic charm and modern comfort. The art deco design adds a unique character, making it one of the most iconic theatres in Vancouver. The acoustics were fantastic—the sound was clear, and the volume was just right, not too overpowering. The seating was comfortable, but what I loved most was how intimate the space felt. Even from the back, I had a great view of the stage. The staff was friendly and well-organized, making the entry and exit process smooth. The only minor downside was the limited legroom in some areas, but that’s expected in an older venue. Overall, the Vogue Theatre is a top-notch place for concerts, comedy shows, and live performances. If you’re looking for a memorable night out in Vancouver, this is definitely a great spot! Would highly recommend!
