I visited Smile Thai Wellness in Vancouver for the first time for a Swedish massage, and the entire experience was truly exceptional. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly welcomed by Jalaye (apologies if I am spelling that incorrectly). She guided me through the intake process with kindness and professionalism.

The ambiance of the spa is incredibly soothing. Each treatment room has its own unique and beautifully chosen name, which adds a charming and personal touch. The atmosphere is calm and thoughtfully curated, with gentle scents and soft lighting that immediately put me at ease.

My massage therapist, Miyoko-san, was absolutely wonderful. She demonstrated great skill and intuition, using techniques that felt both precise and deeply relaxing. She checked in with me at just the right moments and ensured that every area was given careful attention. I also appreciated the natural flow of conversation balanced with quiet moments that allowed me to fully unwind.

After the session, I enjoyed a cup of complimentary ginger tea in their serene tea lounge. It was the perfect way to close out the visit. The overall design, the peaceful energy, and even the small details like the statues throughout the space made it all feel so special.

I would highly recommend Smile Thai Wellness to anyone seeking a thoughtful and rejuvenating experience. I will definitely...

I first visited this spa back in 2017 when we received a couple’s massage coupon as a wedding gift. Now, after experiencing a phenomenal two-hour massage yesterday, I find myself wondering why I haven’t returned more often over the years.

I requested a deep tissue massage, and my therapist, Silui (a Thai name, possibly spelled differently), masterfully combined Thai techniques with Swedish massage. The result was nothing short of extraordinary—easily one of the best massages I’ve ever had. It felt like a perfect blend of a Level 10 RMT massage paired with the luxury of a spa experience. I truly cannot recommend it enough.

Beyond the massage itself, the spa’s ambiance is exceptional. The place feels like a serene Thai oasis tucked in the heart of Vancouver. The atmosphere is calming, the staff are incredibly welcoming, and the cleanliness is impeccable. I also appreciated the thoughtful use of aromatherapy, which enhanced the overall relaxation.

If I had one critique, it would be directed at some of the other guests: please be mindful of the tranquil environment and keep your voices low. A spa is meant to be a peaceful retreat, and loud conversations can disrupt the experience for others.

All in all, this visit was a reminder of how much I’ve been missing out, and I’ll definitely be making this a regular part of my self-care routine...

Huge shoutout to Thon and Nat for accommodating my kiddo and for having the best sense of humour while beating my body up!! Recently I had my first Thai massage and while my body felt completely mangled after, I also somehow managed to fall asleep during the process because the ambiance was so calming and serene while the massage was intense the way I prefer it! It’s hard for me to go back to “regular” massages now that I’ve had Thai massages here.

The entire massage parlour feels like a museum with its beautiful paintings, sculptures and decor. Once you check in, they will ask you to remove your shoes and wear slippers. Once in the room, you’ll change into clean burgundy Smile Thai clothing (super non flattering but comfy) and they’ll knock before coming into your room to begin the massage. The masseuse will give you a hot cloth to wash your hands before beginning (and maybe feet if your feet look gross haha). The entire room during the massage is filled with a lemongrass essential oils scent which is so relaxing! Pricing can seem rather high but it’s COMPLETELY WORTH IT! If you’ve never had a Thai massage, I absolutely recommend Smile Thai. Also heads up they don’t take cash for payment BUT they do recommend you bring CASH FOR TIP so that it all goes directly to the masseuses at the...

My boyfriend and I got a couples massage and I have to say that was probably one the the best massages I had in awhile.. Firstly, they did couple massages in the middle of the pandemic which im very surprised about. Secondly, looking at pictures and reading up reviews I was alittle skeptical on how my experience would be as im use to hotel spas. We arrive 15 mins early and fill out forms and then we head down a long hallway. They provided us with slippers before we continued. The place is actually really big!! many many rooms. Of course we had to keep our masks on during the massage but that was okay with me. We got the oil massage. the masseuses were very very nice! and polite. I believe they are all thai. During my massage, they obviously arent RMTs, so they had different techniques compared to a hotel spa massage. My masseuse I think incorporated the traditional thai massage with the oil massage because they moved my limbs into stretching positions. and mine actually cracked my back!!! i loved it! After, they had a big open lounge area where you can sit and relax after so you don't have to just hurry up and leave. Plus! I paid $95 before tax for a 60min massage.... and it was sooo worth it!!!! pretty cheap. I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!!! ILL DEFINITELY GO BACK
