Last fall, we visited a number of shops in Vancouver that carry modern, contemporary furniture and light fixtures with the goal of furnishing our condo. We narrowed down our search and dealt with two establishments. It is our opinion that Inform Interiors is the best place in Vancouver to purchase modern furniture which are on display at multiple floors at both their locations.
The staff at both 50 and 97 Water Street are friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and very approachable. They would not follow you around but let you in peace and quiet to browse through their excellent display of furniture.
The person we dealt with is Edward Wong. He is very patient, courteous, intelligent and very willing to dispense carefully considered opinions. He helped us in the selection of our dinning table, chairs and pendent lights. After receiving our condo plan, he would come up with very good suggestions of the possible table type and the correct size for our dinning area. He even created a virtual display of the various light fixtures over the table to help us choose the proper size and kind of pendent light fixtures. He will even price match the same product sold in BC. We ended up getting the Maxalto Xilos table with marble top, matching swivel tray, leather Charlotte chairs and the Flos Fuscia 8. All-in-all, we are very happy with the purchase. The actual products look better than in the catalogue.

Another month passes by with no communication and when we call again was told it would arrive early August. August goes by with no communication and in late September was told only the legs arrived and the table should be here shortly. Another month goes by with no communication and when we call they are unsure what happened. After being told they'll call us right back another week goes by with no communication only for us to call to find out the table is broken and will arrive in February!?!? So a max 3 month wait has turned into a year with zero communication. It's been two weeks since we asked for a refund and they keep telling us we're trying to find out if they can even do that and again this is with zero communication at all. The store seems to be all about them and what’s convenient for them, not the consumer. And for the most part clients are spending a few dollars here. Sales people neglected to mention upcoming sales on products I was getting a quote for, and then seemed annoyed when I asked about it. The delivery threshold is high, and the return policy is inflexible. I wanted to exchange/get a gift card (not asking for a refund) on an item they still carry, that’s brand new in box with a receipt and they wouldn’t because it was past 14 days.
