Thank you Lush for a little slice of heaven today! I had the pleasure of experiencing ‘The Sound Bath’- a meditative face and scalp massage to retune the mind and body, enabling you to look inward. Just WOW- this exceeded all my expectations from the moment I walked in. As soon as I crossed the threshold through the doors into the spa I was instantly transported to an English cottage. Kyle ,my treatment specialist, was there to greet me and made me feel authentically welcome and answered all my (many) questions with ease and depth. It soon became apparent that every single detail of the space and this treatment was intentionally crafted with heart - from the lighting in the room, a perfect shade of purpley-blue, to the curated soundtrack, to the various scents and temperatures used throughout the journey. Stepping into the treatment room, Breath of God insence was burning (obsessed!) with the invitation from Kyle to have some deep breaths with the intention to go inward and listen to the body for this experience. This set the foundation for embodying the experience with presence and indeed it felt like a part of me that I still have with me- not something outside of myself. This is a stark contrast to when I have gone to other spa treatments in the past where it is easy and almost encouraged to space out, leaving a feeling of emptiness or disconnect when the time is over and done with.

Next Kyle brought over a box with an unexpected treat reminiscent of Alice in Wonderland that evoked a sense of delight - presented in a surprising way that is not pictured in the photo here so that you can experience IRL for yourself. I was then invited to change into the comfiest flannel pyjamas and get cozy in the heated bed. The blankets and pillows felt homey yet luxurious. There was a beautiful brass bell to ring as a signal for Kyle that I was ready for him to step back into the room.

He then made me even more comfortable as though I was quite literally getting ready to have the sweetest dreams ever.

I did not fall asleep however, the live tuning forks and brass bowls layered with the specially recorded tracks made for an immersive experience that kept me enlivened yet relaxed.

The pace and order of the combination of the facial, massage and ear work was divine, physical tension that I was carrying melted away. I feel uplifted and radiant from the inside out and will absolutely be returning as well as gifting this treatment to loved ones. There are so many others on their menu that have peeled my interest as well such as Tales of Bath (I saw the bathing room it is so gorgeous!) and...

The Highlands Spa Treatment at Lush: A Journey to Scotland's Mystic Landscape

(edited to add in The Highlands Treatment)

This is no ordinary massage! The Highlands Treatment exceeded my expectations in every way. It takes you away to the mystical landscapes of Scotland through an orchestrated sensory journey. The attention to detail is incredible. Water served in a carved stone cup, enchanting incense in the treatment room, and a toasty warm treatment table with the most comfortable headrest I’ve ever experienced. The masterful use of hot stones mimics the rolling hills of the Scottish landscape across your body. The whole treatment starts with a stone reading (seriously!) to set the tone for the upcoming massage. It ends with cool stones on your face, to mimic the cool air of the highlands, and when you leave the treatment room, you are served tea served with a Scottish biscuit. What truly elevates this experience is the personalized Scottish soundtrack that goes along with the treatment. The massage is choreographed to the music. This isn't simply a massage; it’s a journey. The Highlands Treatment demonstrates Lush's ability to create something truly extraordinary. And ask for Kyle! He’s amazing. He has the strongest hands and his enthusiasm for the treatment shows.

The most unique spa!

This was one of the coolest spa experiences I’ve ever had. I went in for The Sound Bath Spa Treatment: a 60 minute combination of massage and music to retune your mind and body. It was like nothing I’ve ever experienced. It was a combination of head and scalp massage paired with music. (Did you know Lush has its own band which created curated music for their spas???) The treatment is almost like choreography; there’s no clock in the room so Kyle (who was doing my treatment) followed the music to know when to start and end. He also massaged my head, neck, and ear while I was lying on my side to drain the lymph while stimulating circulation. It felt amazing. Plus there were Tibetan singing bowls and gongs and incredible incense incorporated throughout.

The whole experience was really cool. I loved it!

(If you go, ask for Kyle....

Today, my friend and I decided to treat ourselves with a visit to the Lush Spa on Robson, celebrating her birthday in style. I indulged in the Book a Bath, Comforter, and Tangled Hair treatments, and I must say, it was an experience beyond expectations.

Kyle, who assisted me throughout, was exceptional. His kindness, knowledge, and excellent communication truly enhanced the experience. He ensured that every detail was taken care of, making me feel incredibly valued and pampered.

The bath was probably the best I've ever had. Upon entering the room, everything was prepared and ready for me. The assortment of items included a bath bomb, water, tea, an eye mask, face cleanser, face mask, body soap, and moisturizer. The atmosphere was further elevated by the relaxing music playing in the background.

When it was time to get out, the transition was gracefully managed with a bell and a gentle voice signaling the end of my soak. Post-bath, there were ample supplies available for use, such as deodorant, eye cream, and body spray, ensuring I left feeling fresh and rejuvenated.

I wholeheartedly recommend this experience to others and am eagerly anticipating trying out some of the new treatments they will be offering. I can’t wait to return for more...
