They ask so many questions, I just feel so uncomfortable, I feel like they know what is good for me or not, they could just tell me what they think what look good to match my hair roots to my current brown hair. I was waiting for some suggestion.. also, I don’t know if each question will cost me extra or what, please be more transparent so customer don’t guess for it. They asked if I want just straight or wavy after blow dry, I said wavy so I dont look too flat when I leave the salon, then the girl who blow dried my hair didnt style it, just added serum. When I asked I thought I would get a wavy style, I was being passed on by other people. I just feel like I was bothering them for some reason so I just left. Just a really awkward experience but I still gave a tip after all that. I just said everything was amazing, although we can all see that my hair still looks stripy.. there’s just not much initiative of how they can fix my hair, just lots of questions that I don’t really know what to answer coz I dont know much about hair. Insisting about my hair need highlights to copy my previous hair color which is just brown. I know my hair color was patchy from previous work but please make some effort to blend it all the way, thats what I came for. I don’t know, I just prefer when the hair specialist takes initiative and not make so much complicated explaining which is hard to understand. Just not the best experience since I feel like they couldve done better, they could just fix it instead of asking many things, it could look better than what it turned out to be. I have no idea how to fix it, so please initiate and do what you think can be done so I have one hair color. 😢😢😢

I recently had the best experience getting my hair done by Elodie! From the moment I walked in, she made me feel so welcome and took the time to really understand what I was looking for. Her expertise and attention to detail were exceptional, and I could tell she genuinely cared about making sure I left completely satisfied. The end result was absolutely stunning—my hair has never looked better! Elodie’s warm personality and professionalism made the entire experience enjoyable from start to finish. I can’t recommend her enough! Thank you, Elodie, for giving me the best hair experience ever! Update: I’ve gotten so many compliments and are also wanting to get their hairs done by Elodie.

After 10 years+ of visiting Lance Blanchette at The Lounge every 4 weeks religiously for a cut, color + styling including the odd blow dry, I am now, on Lance's guidance, in the process of letting my hair grow to its natural grey. Yes! I'm there! You would be AMAZED to see how gracefully he is allowing me to go from blonde to grey and how fabulous my hair looks - no ugly lines between new and old but an amazingly smooth transition of multiple highlights! That is what a true professional hairdresser can do for us. And the bonus is that Lance is not the only one at that studio with that depth of knowledge and expertise. I am NEVER going anywhere else!

I don't want to Leave such a poor review but seeing how I came to this place based on reviews I need to. My hairdresser I had was a nice guy great to talk with. It's a review on hair cuts so for that reason I have to leave a 1 star as there is nothing less.

My experience has been nothing but awful coming here. I went in with long beautiful hair, I also have natural curl not spring like but a nice curl. I came based on reviews never been here but Frankie has amazing reviews figured I'd would try him. But my hair was left literally butchered. He told me my hair length would be mid back to where my bra strap was, he had me touch it there and I was ya that still long. To only leave the salon with my hair tad passed my shoulders and i can't even come close to touching it in the back. The front it was cut about 2.5- 3 inches longer in the front than the back. I had gone in for a haircut get the ends cleaned up. A WOW haircut as the reviews were great! Not how I left...When I was leaving I was saying how short it seemed in the back. Couldn't really tell how my hair was as it was left in its curl. Had it actually be done I would had been horrified in the shop for sure!

I arrive to my friends place to take it out of the pony as I couldn't stand how I looked. For her response was "oh wow it's short" by the time I got to her place I called to speak to Frankie and explain how I wasn't happy. He invited me back in basically 2 days later as he wasn't in the following day. He suggested it was cause it wasn't done straight and he would take a look and show me. So I told my friend I was going back to see him again her reponse was " u trust the same guy to fix what he had done" that made me think... how can I as I've literally been butchered. That's how it felt with short short hair in the back and longer hair in the front. And no I never went in asking for a long bob. I have had my long hair for the last 10+ years but styled cut nicely, long bread, long waves just long. Which now I can't do none of that.

I was able to get into one of Vancouver's top stylist through a friend. I went to see him the next day. I didn't even get to tell him about my haircut before he said " what has happen?" I explained I had gone for a haircut and left like this. He gave me to options 1) to cut it to all be the same length 2) leave it uneven wait months for it to grow out. I clearly couldn't do 2 as it was beyond uneven. And he was worried with 1 as more length would be taken off but felt that's the best one for growth to happen evenly. So I had to cut my hair and when he was cutting he was "oh my" I was on What? Thinking what is it what more lol... he was " it's just so much worse then I thought" the cut in the back was so uneven and he had to even fix and clean that up. I did ask him does it look like he tried to give me a long Bob? He said " i have no idea what he tried as ur hair has no shape or style." " u were left with a mess" I left the hair salon happier because I had a clean cut but not happy I lost my hair due to my first haircut.

The lounge did offer to have me come in with a senior stylist but honestly, I didn't have much faith overall going there, I appreciate they offered. After meeting with the other stylist and what he told me... I should have gone back for them to see how I bad it really was and maybe Frankie could have learned. They asked what they could do for me, I suggest refund my money as I have to pay for another hair cut. They refused as they don't do that. I could understand but a stylist rents that chair out and my bad haircut was on Frankies time that's what he lost, I lost all my hair. And will go months now waiting for it to grow but it will take close to a year for it to get to where I had it in length before I went in there. So my overall experience would have been less than a one star.

This isn't anything against Frankie as person great guy to chat to but this is based on a haircut and overall experience. Thank you, for your time. I hope it may help someone else with super...

My experience cannot be summed up in words. Up until now I have tried numerous salons and hairdressers. Due to my experiences thus far, I've learned to unfortunately not expect much. My hair is fine and is in the process of growing out. Needles to say, a decent color was more then I had hoped for before going to lounge hair studio and meeting Lance. I have never been more happier with my hair! For the first time in a long time, I LOVE my hair! Even at this stage where I never though I would have any options. I have never gone to a hairdresser who is more experienced, dedicated, caring enthusiastic, and just amazing as Lance! He will go above and beyond to make sure that you are more than happy with the end result. If you want hair (cut or color) that you never though would be possible, You need to see Lance! Just the next day after Lance had done my hair, people were asking me who this hairdresser was and said they need to have his number. I've been going to hairdresser for maybe 15 years. But what you will get with Lance, trust me.... it's very hard to find! You will not be disappointed, I promise you this. Once you've gone to Lance, you'll wonder how in the world you have ever gone without having him in your life. Thank you again Lance for such an amazing job! I will defiantly be seeing you again in...
