Crazy 8 Billiards & Lounge — Local services in Winnipeg

I sat there for an hour this evening with absolutely ZERO service at all. It was my first time there to watch my dear friend of 20 years play pool and all day I was looking forward to trying the food as my friend raved about it. When I arrived at 7pm, I ordered a drink at the bar and sat at a table. My empty glass sat there with me until 8pm with menu in hand, and the servers wouldn’t so much as look at me. The bigger taller server (who walked past me at least 10 times in that hour) asked literally every single table around mine if they needed anything, all said no. She made her way back around me (again) but ignored me like I wasn’t even there! And again, wouldn’t even at least take my empty glass. So I left to go eat elsewhere and I will never set foot in there again. That bigger server made me feel very uncomfortable, unwelcome and invisible and I wouldn’t have trusted anything served by her anyway had she. My friend found her behaviour puzzling as she is known to tell her sob life story to anyone who will listen, but not a single peep or even a glance at me (or to my friend) this evening. So my family and I went there to play pool and just have a great time but the service was terrible! The lady in the counter had a smug and annoyed look on her face the minute we walked in and asked how much it was to play. She was rude and pushy, I wish I got her name. Not to assume or anything, but since we were the only non-caucasian people in the whole lounge, I feel he eyes on us a lot more than the other customers.
