Hoffmann's Fine Foods — Local services in Winnipeg

It's been awhile since I ordered and bought from Hoffmans, just haven't been around. I must say they aim to please and not many people in the food industry will prepare things for special diets. I order for our child who is in renal failure so is on dialysis. Being able to have even Chicken Fingers helps him feel like he's the same as us . At this point I'll be ordering the low/no sodium for all of us because it's tasty along with whatever else is available. People there are pleasant and know their food if you have questions. Ordered the Fish Wrap lunch special which also includes fries. It costed $8.50 and it was huge. The food however was ok. The wrap contained mainly lettuce, slaw and what seemed to me chopped up battered fish. The fish was basically nonexistent. The fries weren't crispy and was pretty greasy. It's like they put the fries in the deep fryer while the oil was not hot enough and soaked the oil up. I'd be willing to try this place again for its price and...

This place used to have the best frozen chicken fingers you could find several years ago, but they altered the recipe for some reason and now all you can taste is the thick coating of breading wrapped around them, which isn't very good. I bought two different styles of Frozen hamburger patties. While they tasted good, they had the consistency of cheap steak full of gristle, chewy and tough. I don't think I'll be back. My money is best...
