My husband took me to Le Petite Chef for my 63rd birthday. We had eaten at The Velvet Glove before but this was our first time experiencing Le Petite Chef. It was a great experience. The food was excellent (especially the ravioli), the filet mignon was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. I didn't care for the Japanese dessert so, much to my surprise, I was asked what else I would like instead. I asked what they had and they countered with "what would madam like"? I requested cheesecake if they had it, and they did! A LOVELY lemon cheesecake which they sent home with me because they ALSO gave me a mini chocolate cupcake with a candle in it.

What really made this an amazing meal was the service! This is where the restaurant really shines. I mean, WOW, talk about attention to detail! Our server, Raoul, never missed a beat. He was extremely attentive and efficient. As soon as we finished a course, Raoul was right there to clear the table, yet somehow he was also very discreet in doing so, and despite how quickly the used plate would disappear after each course, we never felt rushed! He was the elegant, old school type server who truly takes pride in his work. In today's sloppy world where we have come to expect and ACCEPT lousy customer service, Raoul was a rare find - the kind of server that one rarely sees in today's service industry.

The show was unique and a lot of fun. If I had ONE tiny place where I feel there is room for improvement, it would be in the length of the show. It is way too short and it would be lovely if the show could be stretched to cover the time between courses.

While an expensive evening, in my opinion, it was worth every penny! I would highly recommend everyone try it at least once. It is a great and unique way to celebrate a...

Le Petit Chef - The Experience Had a great time last night at La Petit Chef. It's a culinary experience with a cinematic touch to it. The best of the best. As you enter the Fairmont hotel and go to their corner and check yourselves in, they provide a coat check and then a lounge until the space is prepared for your arrival. You do get complimentary drink on the house until then and can relax. Then the arrival everyone has already designated seats depending on your party size. It's methodological. Last night they had a virtual chef competition going on adding a touch to that creative experience. There are these virtual mini chefs who would prepare dishes and the real kitchen chef brings it to life. There are four items in the full course and four little chefs. It started with a Spanish salad, then italian, followed by American steak and fries and lastly Japanese matcha cheese cake. For special occasion there is an extra touch with a small chocolate muffin with a candle to blow. It's a wonderful wonderful artwork both in the design and the food. Last night the Spanish chef won the cooking competition. The matcha lemon cheesecake with Wasabi was quite an intriguing combination good taste, it stood out for me. This is a must try experience. At the end they recognize the chef who brought those creativity to real life, it's appreciated. All in all, 10/10. Go enjoy Le Petit Chef Season 2. The price...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Le Petit Chef in Winnipeg, and I can't help but sing its praises. From the moment my family and I stepped into the restaurant, we were captivated by the cutting-edge 3D Mapping Technology that brought our dining experience to life.

I opted for the "Le Petit Chef Classic" menu, while my wife chose the "Le Petit Chef Vegetarian" option, and our son enjoyed the delightful "Junior Chef" menu designed just for him. Every course, without exception, was a culinary masterpiece. The flavours were exquisite, and the presentation was a true work of art. The animated experience added an extra layer of magic to our evening, making it a truly unforgettable event for our family.

Our waiter, Rod, deserves special commendation for his exceptional service. His attention to detail and friendly demeanor enhanced our overall enjoyment. Despite the price tag, I can confidently say that the extraordinary food, impeccable service, and the overall enchanting experience made every penny well spent.

If you're looking for a dining experience that goes above and beyond, look no further than Le Petit Chef. It's a feast for the senses and a treat...

The experience started off with before-dinner drinks in the lobby. We showed up on time, which we didn’t need to do because we all ended up waiting for everyone else to arrive. Once seated, things took a while to get going. That seemed to be the general pace of things - long wait times in between courses. The animation before each course was cute and entertaining. My kids loved it. The meals themselves, though, were pretty standard. We got the vegetarian option and with the exception of the first course (the salad was delicious), everything else was fairly bland. My kids got the kids meals which, again, were standard fare (Caesar salad, cheese ravioli, chicken fingers & fries, and ice cream w/ brownies). None of us (including the kids) were blown away by the meals. Service was great though. Our server was attentive and friendly. Having said that, we were celebrating a birthday and they totally missed it, which made it awkward when they brought out everyone else’s birthday desserts except for ours. They corrected it once we let them know, but still, it was disappointing. Overall, the experience was ok and as such, was rather overpriced.
