My brother was waiting for his girlfriend while she was grabbing her coat from the coat check. My brother was antagonized and repeatedly pushed into a self defence mindset. You can see in the first video that he is trying to leave, but gets backed into a corner and screamed at. As I was waiting outside not knowing what was going on inside, I watched my brother and Yakira get ran out of the pal by security guards. The second Arin raised a hand to let the guards know not to touch him, they took it as if Arin had thrown a punch and began attacking him. Yakira jumped in as immediately as she could to help prevent him from further damage knowing that they would hurt her as well. She is screaming and crying Arinās name. In the second video you can see her being restrained with her arms tucked in and restrained while stepping over Arinās head to protect his head/face (he has epilepsy and has a history of having seizures). In this moment, security believed Yakira was enough of a threat to drag her into a snow bank, and begin beating on her.
When the crowd cleared a bit, and security finally backed off of my brother, I ran to his aid, gave him my coat, and told him I was calling 911. As I walked away from my brother to check on Yakira/try to find her (all while still being on the phone with 911) I turned to Arin to reassure him help was on the way.. a security guard ran up behind me, threw me to the ground and repeatedly kicked my stomach in. He then ran over to Arin and a second fight began on both Arin and Yakira all because I called 911. The security guard who kicked me and grabbed my phone laughed and said something along the lines of āthat girl really thought she could call 911?ā I got up and confronted him. He laughed in my face and said to me āI know nothing about thisā. And then ran away inside of the pal. There was a guard at the front door who he ran too and said all of this too, this is the guard who also came to me and offered help to find my phone.
This guard is who gave me my phone back after what felt like ages of waiting. He gave me my phone after he had noticed I got into a random cab to leave. He finally gave me my phone after I had waited on those steps, watching everyone else leave safely. My 911 call lasted 42 seconds long, my phone was thrown out of my hands.
911 non emergency just called me and told me there is no footage of my attack. I told them to scroll to 2:13am and watch, they said there was nothing other than Arin and Yakira being punched in the snow. He also confirmed that the video footage ends at 2:25am. But I am no where to be seen? How can I not be seen? My attack happened in the same space⦠the officer even slips and says he saw me walk away from my brother WITHOUT my coat on. The officer who spoke with me told me I should drop whatever as nothing will come from any of it and that there is zero evidence, I asked him about my 911 audio at least and he told me they will not retrieve it because thereās no criminal investigation here. And I said how could there not be? I called 911? He said but the call got hung up, I explained that it was not me who hung it up, it was the pal or whoever took my phone out of my hand when the security guard...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHorrible Experience here. First the bouncer tells me that my empty, yes EMPTY, reusable water-bottle needs to be held by security at the front while my bag is checked. After spending lots of money on drinks and in turn being tipsy, I forget to retrieve my $50 reusable water-bottle from security as I leave during closing. I realize that I was forgetting something a few minutes later, but it was too late, the front door was already locked up, but I could still see my expensive water-bottle sitting by the shelf at the front. I go to the back and tried to raise attention to staff that was still working, and 3 staff members completely ignored me despite raising my voice so they can hear. One finally comes over and tells me that there is nothing that they could do, that it was security's business and not theirs and to come back at tomorrow when they're open. Feeling a little bit of faith, I go home and wait till tomorrow. Tomorrow comes, and I come back to Palomino and explain to 3 different staff members my situation. After 2 minutes of looking, they told me that material such as water-bottles that were forgotten at the front are to be considered confiscated and to be thrown out the garbage at the start of each shift day. I find it revolting that this company completely disregards the common notion of the possibility of sober/drunk clients forgetting their belongings in their bar and not holding on to it for more than one day in case they come back looking for it. How disgusting for them to just throw it out. To think what this company would do to more expensive belongings of clients such as iPhones and wallets. I will no longer be a patron here and will be spending my money to more ethical bars. I urge others taking the time to read my review to do the same and spend their precious...
