Here's a more comprehensive template for a detailed burger review in Jacó, covering various elements like taste, texture, environment, and service. Let me know if you'd like any adjustments or additions.
Burger Review: [Burger Name/Restaurant Name], Jacó, Costa Rica
Setting & Atmosphere The restaurant's ambiance plays a significant role in the overall experience. [Describe the location, whether it’s a beachfront spot with laid-back surf vibes, an upscale diner, or a casual street-side joint. Mention details like music, décor, crowd, and seating comfort.]
Burger Presentation First impressions matter. [Describe how the burger is served – plated with artisanal flair, wrapped in paper, or presented on a rustic wooden board. Note garnishes, portion size, and any standout visual details.]
Bun A critical component often overlooked. [Evaluate the type of bun used – brioche, sesame seed, pretzel, or gluten-free. Is it toasted, fresh, buttery, or dry? Does it hold up to the fillings or fall apart?]
Patty The heart of the burger. [Discuss the patty's quality – beef, chicken, veggie, or seafood. Consider elements like: Flavor: Seasoning balance, freshness, char, or umami. Texture: Juiciness, tenderness, thickness, or any chewiness. Cooking: Is it cooked to order – medium-rare, well-done, or inconsistent?]
If it’s a specialty burger, mention unique aspects like double-stacks or signature blends.
Toppings What sets a good burger apart. [Review the freshness, creativity, and balance of toppings: cheese melt, crispy bacon, tangy pickles, sautéed onions, or any signature sauces. Do the toppings enhance the burger, or do they overwhelm the flavor profile?]
Sauce Often the “glue” of the burger. [Is there a house-made aioli, smoky barbecue sauce, spicy chipotle mayo, or classic ketchup-mustard combo? Does it complement the burger, or is it too messy or overpowering?]
Side Dishes A burger is rarely alone. [Review the quality of fries, onion rings, or alternative sides like plantain chips or salad. Are the fries hand-cut, seasoned well, or just an afterthought?]
Service & Value Good service makes everything taste better. [Comment on the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. Also, assess the burger’s value – is it worth the price for the portion size and quality?]
Overall Impression Wrap it up with a summary. [Is it a must-try, a solid choice, or a pass? Mention any standouts that might draw people back, or areas needing improvement.]

Read moreDon't let the reviews fool you. It's been proven that they're fake. A good number of the accounts have only reviewed this place with the same copy and paste wordings. Furthermore, they offered me a free drink and french fries if I wrote them a positive 5 star review online, something that I'm sure they do with most people. I accepted it, but later came back and paid extra for something, as I didn't feel right about not giving my honest opinion. All of their responses towards negative reviews are the same copy and paste responses that have nothing to do with the reviews. It proves everything above correct, their lack of maturity and taking constructive criticism well, and how they likely have a bot doing so. If you see a response from the owners with that then you'll now know why. The atmosphere is tacky and just a tourist spot for Americans that they saw on YouTube. A lot of the tables aren't washed most of the time and have sticky spots on them from soda or grease. The burgers are pretty bad. The toppings fall off, the buns aren't good quality, and the patties weren't formed properly. My friend bought their $100 lobster burger and it was so bad that he had to throw away half of it. The mushroom vegetarian burger is almost like a parody of vegan burgers where they just form rice and other things together. Most of the drinks look nothing like in the photos. The coffee marshmallow drink was laughable where they brought it out in a small plastic cup and looked like a Tim Horton's iced cap while placing a store bought marshmallow in the middle. The iced tea and other things are store bought. The french fries and sweet potato fries are okay, but better elsewhere. The fish burgers are probably the best burgers here and have potential, but compared to other fish burgers all around Jaco, they aren't anything special and lack a bit of seasoning. I was curious about doing their challenges such as the coffee cup challenge, but I asked if it was safe or wouldn't seriously hurt me and all they responded with was, "You have to sign a waiver." Most of the staff was sitting in the back on their phones for hours and with the lack of customers. This place gets almost no customers, outside of the odd tourist stopping by, which is why they've been trying to sell it for $300,000 or so and paint it as "an amazing business opportunity." They're not #1 and there are other places who have passed them in ratings by now, so they should remove that headline by now, but I doubt it. It's like Keemstar claiming to still be the #1 news and drama channel on YouTube...
Read moreWe had the quinoa burger with fries and we liked it but the fries were nothing special and the burger patty had a very uncommon texture - it kind of fell apart. It didn't bother me but I think it makes sense to mention that. Also the flavors could've been a little more intense and everything could've used a bit more salt. They put salt and pepper on the table for you but I still think they could add some more spices in the cooking process. My boyfriend said the same thing so it's not just me. Anyway, I like that they have an uncommon veggie burger like that, it's nice to have something else than falafel from time to time. Also, the food wasn't greasy at all, it even tasted kinda healthy and everything seemed very fresh so that's definitely a plus for me. the burger was really big and we were definitely full after the meal so in my opinion the amount of fries is reasonable and you don't need more than what they give you. (Also, the fries are only $2-3 so it's reasonable.) In general, I think the prices are appropriate but it isn't the cheapest restaurant in Jacó for sure. Still, it's supposed to be typically American and it definitely is much cheaper than a meal of that size would be in America.
The waitress was very nice and yes, the place is in the center of Jacó but we didn't find it noisy at all.
All in all, I don't have anything specific to criticize, still I only give 4/5 stars because the burger just wasn't STUNNING. It's a nice idea and it's fresh and everything for sure but they can still work on the intensity of the flavors in our opinion. Also, like I mentioned earlier, the fries were really nothing special. So, since they claim to have the greaaaaatest burgers of all time, I only give 4/5 because if they have to write it on every wall they have in that restaurant, then they should definitely keep that promise and give you a burger that tastes STUNNING instead...
