A True Hidden Gem in Prague – Kurdish Hospitality and Real Doner Taste!

During my recent trip to Prague, I passed by a place that instantly made my day – Mardini Kebab & Pizza. They were playing loud Kurdish music, the first time I heard my own culture’s sound in the Czech Republic. I stopped to say hello and promised the friendly owner I’d return later – and I’m so glad I did!

That same evening, I went back for dinner, and what an absolutely amazing experience it turned out to be. The owner, a kind and passionate Kurdish man from Mardin, has truly brought a piece of his homeland to Prague. He shared that they had only opened a few months ago, which made me even more excited to support them.

I ordered the doner, and it honestly took my heart. It was fresh, flavorful, and authentic – hands down the best I’ve had in Prague. I’ve tried many kebab spots across the city, but none hit the mark like this one. It truly felt like I was back in the origin country of kebabs.

After the meal, I was offered a glass of Kurdish tea – warm, aromatic, and comforting – and a piece of homemade milky cake that was simply divine. I can’t even describe how delicious it was – you just have to try it.

The service was excellent, the owner was welcoming and generous, and the place was spotless. I left with a full heart and a full stomach.
