Matthew the Cobler restaurant — Restaurant in Prague

It is actually very hard for me to write this review as I will tell you the reason.

It was a Saturday night and there were literally no guests except me inside (some Caucasian guests were outside). I chose to sit inside bc it was quiet and beautiful. However, I don’t want to escalate this to racial topics ( I am Asian) but the waitress DID serve Caucasian guests outside who came after me even though I had sat in my table for about 18 minutes until they noticed me and helped me to order.

I have to say I really like their food, music playlist and even use Siri to ask ‘what is this song’ during dining. It’s really a good experience to get food here and I even ordered two beef broth which was fantastic.

My wife and I from Australia had the please of dinning here, only by chance, because we were walking back to our hotel, and happened to see a some dishes that I recognised on the posted menu. Although it was only shortly past 5 pm, we thought a smaller lighter meal would be appropriate, however, because the first course was so delicious and the staff were so pleased, we ended up staying for longer and drinking and eating far more than first planned. This restaurant offers authentic Czech cuisine at affordable prices, and the food itself was delicious. The waitstaff was friendly, but unfortunately, the service was extremely slow. While the décor aimed for authenticity, the place was noticeably dirty, and the toilets were not serviced, which was off-putting. To top it off, when it came time to pay, the waiter made a point of telling us that tips were not included in the price, even stamping it on the receipt, which felt like undue pressure and came across...
