From the outside, Bistro Loreta looked like a dark and empty pub with benches outside, which we initially sat ourselves at. However, we were escorted through the bar into the spacious and sunny courtyard behind, with beautiful vines and creepers adorning the walls. Each table was decorated with a vase of flowers, and ours was visited by a cute solitary bee. I ordered the beef goulash, which came with a side of hash browns and shredded potato pancakes, as well as a dark beer. The beef goulash was rich, savoury, juicy, and tender! I also found that the potato pancakes (blended with light herbs) complimented the creamy goulash broth particularly well. Overall, a really pleasant and relaxing place for lunch.

The waiter that so kindly attended to us spoke English perfectly too, so don't worry if you can't speak Czech! Perhaps a suggestion to the owner would be to display a large photo of your beautiful courtyars with a sign, "Courtyard...

Fantastic! My dad and I came here for our last meal in Prague and it didn’t disappoint. We’d been on the hunt for a good goulash and strudel - you can find both of those here! The goulash was amazing, everything came out within minutes of ordering yet tasted fresh, delicious and sumptuous. Get the potato rosti! It was light, fluffy, crispy, amazing! The waiter was so attentive and smiley and made us feel very comfortable and at home. Thanks so much for making our last...

This has been my favorite meal in Prague so far. The pulled beef with mashed potatoes was absolutely incredible, and I had to slow myself down to enjoy each bite. If you are a fan of hoppier, more bitter beer, I would also recommend the Kominíkův EJL 12’. This was a great beer, a bit like an IPA that you would find in America, but on the lighter side. The little garden in the back is beautiful, and I am so glad I found this hidden gem while out...

What a great place for lunch. Less touristic and close to the castle. We went for the mash with stronganoff, the breaded chicken and the pulled beef burger. All of them were excellent in taste and the chicken tenders were probably the best I have tried. My personal favourite was the stronganoff though. Service was super fast and friendly and we opted to sit in the quiet courtyard in the back. Highly recommend it!
