Spa Natural Center by Flavio Acuña — Local services in Higüey

I had an AMAZING massage and experience here. I was staying at one of the local resorts at the time, which -- while they have spa services which include massages, unfortunately none were available on the beach (even though the resort is on the beach!!). And I reeeeeally wanted a beach massage during this vacation. So, after a quick Google Maps search, I found Flavio. Called them and was booked for my desired day and time in no time! Coordinated it with Oskarina, who was so nice, friendly, responsible, and helpful!!

When I arrived, Oskarina greeted me and was all those great things and more in person as well! She soon introduced me to my masseuse, who was another sweet lady whose name unfortunately escapes me but was a similar name (or at least sounded similar) to Oskarina's. This lady was amazing in her service!! Gave a wonderful, 90-minute relaxing massage. AND it was a beautiful day, on a nice, quiet area of the beach. The massage was so relaxing that I fell asleep in maybe the last half hour or so of it.

The whole experience was incredible. I ended up (HIGHLY) recommending this place to another lady I met at my resort who'd had a massage at the resort and was raving about it. I'm like "if you liked that, you'll love this spot just 10 minutes away, where you can get a massage on the beach and for the same price!!" Her jaw dropped and she immediately wanted to know where, so I gave her the info! I'll have to come back and update once I find out if she went.

Oh! Also, this place offers two other ambiance options for your massage: their beautiful garden view or the traditional indoors. Annnd they have an on-site pool, which you can use for free after your service.

I highly recommend!! Go get you a marvelous beach...

I am rating Flavio 5 today mainly on their stellar efforts to maintain a positive customer experience. I had a miscommunication incident where the receptionist at the resort I’m staying at incorrectly translated my request to book an acupuncture session with a hot stone massage. I have a frozen shoulder condition which escalates from tolerable pain to literally I cannot move my shoulder /massive pain, extremely quickly. So you can imagine how that situation will affect my holiday plan. I googled for the best nearest acupuncture place and Flávio popped up. So when I arrived and they said their acupuncturist is not usually available on the spot but requires a day notice you can imagine my disappointment especially after I had agreed with the taxi I’ll pay him $50 for a return journey. I was so upset but the receptionist explained that she was told hot stone massage and it’s unfortunate they cannot help. But then she decided to call management to find a solution and they were so kind they offered me a free massage (which would normally cost $100) so they don’t have to see me leave with nothing after needing to pay the taxi $50. They were extremely hospitable and understanding. The massage ended up being great as well. Overall this experience deserved a 5 stars!! Thank you all for turning this inconvenience into...

So I searched for some spa’s in the Punta Cana area to get a massage at, and just happened to stumble across this one. This Spa is located in an area known as Los Corrales.

I was greeted by a warm and welcoming receptionist (Oskarina), and then I was offered a tea of my choice. I choose mint tea! This genuinely set the mood of overall relaxation for me! After tea, I got changed into my robe for the massage (there is a locker room to store and lock your belongings in while getting a massage.

My Massage Therapist (Madeleine) was also very generous and beyond attentive! I got the Hot stone massage. She really was able to pin point all of the paint points in my body and massage out the kinks. I felt so zen and at ease during the massage! I had a sore foot from pulling a muscle while working out last week, and as a result I was in serious pain and unable to walk very fast. After the massage, the pain in my foot was gone and I was walking like normal again!

I am beyond glad that I chose this place to get my massage. They are very friendly and have a personal touch! If you are ever in Punta Cana, stop by here!!! It is beyond worth it! This will be my go to spa when I am vacationing in the Punta Cana...
