Omaná — Local services in Tórshavn

Stumbling upon this ice cream shop was an absolute delight.😃

It’s located right inside the SMS shopping mall in Tórshavn, just next to the entrance of the largest supermarket. Even on a weekday afternoon, there was a queue, which says a lot about how popular this place is!

🍦 Ice Cream Ice cream is clearly their specialty — almost everyone in line was ordering it. They offer 12 flavors, and the pricing is:

1 scoop for 30 DKK 2 scoops for 40 DKK 3 scoops for 50 DKK

So obviously, 3 scoops is the best deal 🤣 All the flavor names are written in the local language, which might confuse foreign visitors. Even Google Translate’s photo scan didn’t help much in some cases. Fortunately, familiar favorites like pistachio and chocolate were clearly labeled.

For my third scoop, I picked “milkshake” — a flavor I’ve never seen even in well-known gelaterias in Italy or France!

All three flavors were delicious. The chocolate was milk chocolate, not dark, which kids would probably love — though personally, I prefer dark chocolate. The texture wasn’t too rich or dense, making it suitable for general tastes. Overall, the prices are competitive.
