My mac book pro has been diagnosed as requiring a new battery I arrived on time to an appointment with C&C, because cap3000 apple store was giving me a longer delay being on the geek side of the dressing spectrum, that apparently was not good enough for me to be greeted with a hello.. after a few minutes I was hushed on the side and told I had to be patient because there was only one technician present... the customer before me was picking up a repaired headset; it took the technician 20 minutes, I mean 20 times 60 seconds, to figure out how much they had to charge for the repair, and to return the change - partly online with apple as if it were god; when my time came, I patiently waited for another 5 minutes to realize that the person was still copying my serial number from my screen to their own device; at that point - so 25 minutes later - I still had no idea on the modalities: how long I was supposed to leave the device, whether it would be replaced on-site or just sent over to apple but I knew one thing for certain, I did not want these people to be anywhere close to my computer so all in all, just a colossal...
Read moreI chose a rdv at MCS because it was closer to me than the Apple Store at cap 3000 . The assistant could not help me with my problem because I had an unrecognized phone number listed and we could not do my verification code. Neither could the assistant begin to tell me why I was not receiving emails in 3 of my accounts . But the worst part was an attitude of complete annoyance at my problem. He told me that without a valid phone number I could not access my account and that I could not change the phone number until I got on the account which was blocked so there was nothing that could be done. I did both these things at the Apple Store the next day though they said I had probably been hacked and it was a difficult situation. But the real problem was that this assistant at MCS seemed to resent his job. And of course I am 25 years older than he and speak another language so I thought I managed very well despite his impatience. I heard a second assistant seemingly willing to speak English so I will ask for him if I ever make another appt. Not because my French is bad , but because he seemed eager and...
Read moreThe people who own this shop are crooks. My mother brought them a 2013 Macbook Pro a few months ago with a non functioning screen. She was told that they only "fixed hard drives". They neglected to tell her that there is an official Apple store that could have fixed her screen. They were nice enough to give my mum the hard drive for her computer and then made her sign a piece of paper giving up ownership of her computer to them to "recycle". Right. My mum, bless her, thought that MCS was an 'Apple Store' as they sold only Apple products as far as she could tell. MCS never corrected her of that fact. My mum is retired and obviously not a computer wizard so I feel that these guys preyed on her to turn a profit. The worst part is that she bought her replacement computer from them too. I'm upset at myself for not having been there to help her, and upset at these clowns for their predatory...
