I used to live near this bistrot so it's not my first time here - it is however my first time here under a new chef (Michelin ⭐ Chef with another restaurant) and staff - it's been a few years since I last visited and throughout it all this bistrot stays consistent. Consistently excellent staff, Chef, produce and dishes. For starters, I took the Moules with pomme de Terre and a beautiful horseradish sauce. (My friend took a celeriac dish and her husband had a delicious champignon dish). For mains, my friend and I took Saint Jacques and topinambours and a delicious wine sauce (My friends husband took the couchon, done to perfection). For dessert, my friend and I took Millefeuile w/caramel and peanut sauce with rosemary ice-cream (exceptional ⭐). My friends husband had the Ile flotant which we all tasted and was delicious 😋 There are a few different menu options here including an amazing lunch menu 34euro, 3 course!!! We took à la carte but we were happy to do so as we all thought the price was worth it. I recommend this place whether you are alone or in a huge group (I've done both) as its so welcoming and the Staff here give you an 'Irish welcome ' on your arrival and are very attentive but discreet, knowledgeable and friendly. I recommended just yesterday to my friends parents who will go there...

My friends and I had a great birthday dinner party here. Before we were allowed to order, the entire party had to prove vaccination status. For most of us, this was the NHS app generate QR code.

The wine selection was great, and while the menu was relatively short, the food was done very well. My friends particularly enjoyed their scallop entrée, literally wiped the plate clean with bread!

The only downside was probably how hot it got, but opening the front door would have let all the freezing air outside in. The bistro is quite small so chatter can really build, but it seems like everyone has a good time. The noise contributed to one of our orders being mixed up ('pork'/'pollack') but the mistake was quickly rectified.

When it came time to sing Happy Birthday to our friend, the entire bistro joined in -- so nice...

Small meals for a hefty price. Dont except to just eat the main course and walk away satisfied. Moreover, the water is 7€ which of course they dont disclose when asking if we want it.

The waiters were very quick to remove our plates, i barely had time to put down my utensils before they were removed which stressed us up.

We had to wait a hour between the main course and the dessert despite us asking them about it 40 minutes in. It wasnt until we got up and asked for the tab that they finally did something about it. As a bandaid we got a glass of champagne on the house but i would rather have my food on time

Finally, why did all of the meals have a taste of dill,...

We had high hopes for this restaurant considering it is part of a group that has many Michelin starred restaurants. However, we were disappointed. We chose the degustation menu and to be honest all dishes lacked flavour rendering them forgettable. We had to ask for butter, as apparently they only serve bread here. When we asked for more butter, we had to do it twice and still it never arrived. The white wine was also served without an ice bucket. The service is nice and polite but the servers seemed overwhelmed with the tables. Also at some point, the noise coming from all tables was insanely loud.

I liked very much the atmosphere and the interior of this bistro. We had some options for food as we had booked for a big company. The table set was a bit strange as some people had their backs on the rest of the table. Regarding the food, I was not impressed at all. The cucumber yoghurt was not tasty at all and the combination with the tomatoes was a big no. The main dish, pork with pure from potatoes was just fine, a bit dry. Nothing special to justify the price. The portions was not big enough either even for 3-course dinner. The dessert was chocolate cream, which was nice.
