Le Grand Action — Local services in Paris

I consider myself an avid movie-goer, and the Grand Action is hands down the best movie theater in a city with an unparalleled cinematic heritage. There are many independent cinemas in Paris showing art house and cult classics, but they tend to be predictable and repetitive. The GA consistently shows the best in new and lesser-known American, French and other cinema. They premier restorations and have director film cycles you won't find anywhere else. They just finished a Claire Denis cycle and today showed back-to-back films by Mike Nichols along with a re-release of a classic Alain Delon film. Where else in the world will you find that kind of programming? I love this...

I have discovered this movie theater during last years Smeels Like Teen Spirit festival and I was delighted! It might not look pretentious from the outside, but it offers the most combortable seats and the best screen and the quality of sound among cinéma d'art et d'essai in Paris. I WISH it was located more convenietly for me, i would totally come here...
