Very disappointing. We rented a 4-bedroom apartment near Gare St-Lazare for 4 nights in July 2025. We booked through GuestReady, which I have had positive experiences with in the past.
The apartment has not been well maintained: there is water damage in several places, including a patch of flooring that is both spongy and where the laminate flooring has curled, creating a tripping/laceration hazard.
Everything was dirty: the fans were caked in dust, the couches had terrible stains that were covered by throw pillows when we arrived and, worst of all, there were mouldy linens in both the washing machine and, strangely, stuffed into a wardrobe.
Additionally, one of the bedroom door handles is missing, creating a potential entrapment hazard.
More evidence of poor maintenance includes water damage in both bathrooms, large scratches on the floor (aesthetic issue only), etc.
I contacted OpenFlats upon discovering these concerns, including sending photos. All they did was send someone to collect the mildew-ridden linens. I have since followed up twice asking that someone from management contact me to discuss our stay. I have heard nothing. GuestReady was also unable to help.
OpenFlats claims to want to ensure that you have an excellent experience in their lodging. Our experience was far from pleasant and the customer service was abysmal. I will not be booking with...
Read moreI book an appartement on Airbnb and this agency is handling it. First they send me a message asking for a pre authorization of 800€ without which they will not give me the check in instructions.
It states and you can see if in the screenshots. It’s a pre authorization unless you stay more than 14 days. I was supposed to stay from the 15-18th of September.
I arrive in the appartement. And let me tell you when this is the worse place I’ve seen in 11 years on Airbnb I’m not kidding.
A table is on the floor with a broken leg, mold in the bedroom, mold in bathroom, it smells damp and hot.
I then contact Airbnb and provide them with pictures. They decide it is unsafe for me to stay and they cancel the reservation and rebook me an other place.
To my surprise I see that the host did charge me the 800€ deposit.
Which according to their own message should have never happened. I tried calling for 2 days no answer, email no answer.
I am now dealing with Airbnb and my bank to get refunded and make sure that this does not end it.
I will be using lawyers to take this all the way.
NEVER STAY WITH THEM.
So here...

They are not adhering to Airbnb’s terms and conditions even though everything was booked through airbnb and airbnb have asked Openflats to refund the security deposit as the damage was not caused by ourselves.
