Studio Rituel — Local services in Paris

Really a hit or miss depending on which instructor you get. I tried a reformer class with Kirsten and really enjoyed her way of teaching, was so excited to come back and try a new device for me- Whnda Chair. Unfortunately, Aurore is not very professional. I never received so much criticism during 60 minutes as with her. She didn’t give me the chance to practice any of the movements just jumping from one position into the next and non-stop talking. I felt exhausted energetically by her chatter but 0 physical strain. When I voiced my wish to do a few more rounds of ab exercises she told me there is no point for me to do them since I am not well positioned on the chair and my hips are moving too much. She really lack awareness of how the client feels and should be more attentive instead of reading and rushing through her notes without checking in. I finished the class without feeling a single muscle strained just a pain in me shoulder and my wrists + headache from her endless talking. Avoid her classes if you like pilates to feel like a workout and...

En essayant le Studio Rituel, j'avais déjà suivi deux leçons de pilates. Je me suis faite presque insulter par le professeur avant même avoir commencé le cours (qui était un niveau débutant) tout simplement parceque mon "inexpérience" la gênait visiblement (je tiens à préciser que j'ai 21 ans et suis en excellente santé et que les autres élèves avaient entre la trentaine et la cinquantaine, je ne vois donc pas de quoi s'inquiéter quant à mon aptitude à suivre le cours). En effet, le rythme était très tranquille puisque j'ai à peine transpiré en une heure, mais surtout, n'ayez pas le malheur de poser une question au professeur ! J'ai eu droit à différentes réponses toutes aussi charmantes les unes que les autres : "ah non ça je ne peux pas vous expliquez si vous ne savez pas, c'est la base des pilates" "si vous ne savez pas faire ça ne sert à rien d'essayer" Je suis tout de même restée jusqu'à la fin du cours, mais j'en ai eu pour mon temps, et mon argent ! (30€ l'heure pour une séance d'essai tarif étudiant......)
