Summary: This was by far my fav shop where I found the most items. If I wasn't luggage constrained I likely would have purchased a lot more.
Ok... I was shocked to read all the comments about rudeness. I had the best experience, specifically with the shop owner.
The Clothes: I primarily noticed only Women's Vintage. Perhaps there is men's there, but my eyes were drawn to all the lady's dresses. There were definitely some great trench coats as well. The period seemed to be from late 70's through current. Most were in very good vintage condition, but one I simply loved was missing buttons. The cut was so my deal, I had to get it anyway. Pricing ranges and starts around 10euros for dresses, a fair price for what I was looking for. A dream for me. The struggle was real. They were fairly clean. There are a couple of vintage places in Paris where that is def not the case. This seemed good though.
The Vibe: The day I went there were a lot of people in the store very excited about finding the particular item. It's a tiny shop and it's got a lot of inventory, but it's not filled to the brim like some where you can barely see the items. The shop is small though. There was a group of 4 girls who - though having a very fun positive shopping energy - were struggling to take turns in the large mirror while still allowing other guests to enjoy. If you're in a big group, it might be best to split up into pairs. That said, I felt the shop owner was a real sweet heart to both that large group and even me. Hence, my shock at the reviews.
I would def go back b/c he really does carry exactly my style. If you want to see my style, scroll to the Paris section of my instagram at: WhereIsMayLing . I would def give this place a...
Read moreIt's my 1st time writing down google comment cuz I was very impressed by the experience. I went back home with three pieces dearly loved, for an incredibly honest price. I could smell people's dismay towards the monsieur who works there and could be interpreted as rude. (as so many comments mention that)
My experience could be biased but compared to all the vintage stores I visited before in Paris, the minute I put the clothes on, I immediately know how well there're selected with great care and respect——which are selected by him. I agree with the fact that the monsieur "a du caractère" (and honestly could be annoying for people expecting nice treatment) but while eavesdropping I learned pieces about his life and I supposed his past experience has built him this way. Though it'll be perfect shopping experience if he's super nice, welcoming and gentle, putting more emotional labor into his management. But I think people are just not perfect...and would wanna let him know he has great taste, I do love his work and wish he keep his style, and hopefully he would be willing to be more loving towards people who arranged a visit there ! All the best regards and I will...
Read moreI loved this shop, the most reasonably priced of the ones I went to (the kilo ones are very overpriced). I bought a lovely dress for €10 and rooted around in the €1 box and found a dress (pictured) and a pretty witchy skirt. They had a great range of stuff and I loved all of the colourful 80s shell suit jackets.
Just a warning, you can’t try on anything from the €1 box which seems to be the same in all the other vintage shops. And also it was very crowded as it is quite a small shop.
I was bracing myself for the owner to be rude based on the reviews but he wasn’t rude to me. I don’t know if there’s levels to who he is more likely to be nice to (you never know). Maybe he was in a good...
