Bijouterie Eté — Local services in Versailles

I would not recommend this jeweler. Last week I bought a watch and a pendant & a necklace. First I was told I could purchase the purple rope necklace with the yellow clasp and then at time of purchase I was told I could not and I would have to purchase the one with the white gold clasp, this changed the price from $10 to $50 and I did not want white gold but i as I was at checkout out, I said fine. As the lady put the necklace on my neck, it fell off. She took it to the back office and came back and said it had an extender and as I didn't pay for extender she had to take it off. One day after leaving the store the necklace broke. The reason is, when they took of the extender, they took of the wrong links & left me with the extension link instead of the sturdy link meant for the clasp. I wrote them while i was still in France and they did not respond. I wrote them again when I returned to USA and then they responded that I would have to bring it in store for them to repair. It is not even repairable. they should have offered to replace due to them altering the integrity of the necklace or refund. Really upset they didn't just let me purchase the chain they said i could have originally and then not knowing they would manipulate the links of the chain of the more expensive necklace and therefore forcing it to break. Not good customer...

Je suis venue aujourd'hui pour d'une part, récupérer le montant d'un devis en vue d'un achat futur et d'autre part, j'avais acheté 10 jours auparavant 1 chaine en argent et un lien tour de cou. Pour le premier point, la personne sur place n'avait pas le renseignement et s'est déchargée sur sa collègue du samedi précisant qu'elle ne l'en avait pas informée. J'ai répondu que ce n'était pas grave et que cela viendrait surement d'ici à quelques jours. Là où le bat blesse davantage ; la conseillère de vente du samedi (elle très aimable et bienveillante), m'a recommandé et donc vendu un lien tour de cou pour une médaille lequel lien a cassé dès le premier jour où je l'ai porté et j'ai par miracle récupéré la médaille qui y était accroché. Une nouvelle fois la vendeuse de ce jour se défosse sur la collègue du samedi, arguant que cela ne pouvait pas en être autrement étant donné le poids de la médaille. N'ayant rien d'autre à me proposer, je demande alors le remboursement de ce tour de cou porté 2 heures au maximum. La vendeuse me propose un simple échange similaire mais confirme que cela recommencera et que je n'avais qu'à le porter avec autre chose que la médaille pour laquelle j'étais venue faire cet achat. Je ne suis pas d'accord et réitère ma demande le remboursement. Je n'avais certes pas la facture sur moi mais pouvais la rapporter. Le plus ennuyeux, la bijouterie Eté, n'en avait pas le double par devers elle....Refus clair et net de la Bijouterie Eté.

Nous en restons donc là. Cette bijouterie qui a tout de même pignon sur rue dans Versailles n'est ni commerçante, ni professionnelle et encore moins compétente en plus d'être à peine aimable. J'avais, il y a quelques années, rapporté une réparation sur un bracelet en argent ; l'expérience n'avait pas été concluante et j'aurais bien dû m'en tenir là. Conclusion : C'est hors de prix pour les réparations et ils n'assurment pas leurs erreurs, quant aux conseils ils sont justes mal à propos et certainement pas éclairés. Ils le reconnaissent masi restent campés sur leur position.

Mauvaise adresse c'est une certitude et pour le moins pas une maison de confiance. Ils vivent sur une réputation TRES TRES ANCIENNE. De la mousse, du vent pour un...

DO NOT GO HERE. The reviews are true. I got a gorgeous little gold bracelet from my boyfriend from this merchant for Christmas. I was so happy with it. Unfortunately, it broke in less than 24HRS and I lost it. It was very fragile, and at the steep price of about 250€, for it to break that quickly is so upsetting. We called the jewelry store and because the bracelet is missing the said that we have no proof and a bunch of other unsupportive customer service remarks....
