I just had the most uncomfortable experience at this place. When I arrived, there were two men working and they were fantastic. One of them, let's say the "new" employee was super friendly and walked me through meal choices because I couldn't decide since everything sounded great. After I ordered, the food was ready quickly and was tasty. Then there was a staff shift- the other man left and a woman replaced him at the register- she was either a manager or owner and she was absolutely horrible.

She was supposedly training the new employee but it was awful treatment in front of several clients. Literally yelling, berating, and belittling him in front of people. It was so uncomfortable for me sitting in the back and eventually, it became so unpleasant I had to leave (unfortunate because I had much time to kill and wanted to try some of their drinks after my lunch). It was so bad I was getting anxious for him- a stranger! Actually, he was so sweet and calm-tempered and was perfect until she came because she probably makes him nervous and fumble on her several requests and criticism of every. single. thing. he did. which according to her was wrong. "why are you looking at me? do (x)" "don't embarrass me", "tell me! who eats cake with a spoon!", "you're doing it wrong!" "why are you overcharging the customer" are a few snippets I can remember, delivered in a loud scolding manner in front of the client and came in one after the other. Poor guy.

Needles to say I will not be going back but I really want to thank this new employee for the attention and kindness he showed me from ordering, to helping me find a place to sit and checking up moments later. You did a fantastic job. I give you 5 stars for your service! I hope you find a job place that values the great service and skills you have to offer.

To the manager or trainer- public humiliation is not a proper way to train your staff. It's inappropriate and unprofessional and not a way you should talk to anyone either in private or public. Perhaps not knowing I was there in the second room is not an excuse. Be kind and respectful to your staff. Four stars for your lovely place and nice food but this atmosphere was toxic and overtakes the...

I live in the neighbourhood so came here a few times because of convenience. Unfortunately every time the drinks were disappointing (I tried the black sesame latte and it had literally no taste, and the 6,80 “special” Vietnamese salted cream iced latte that was without exaggeration, a watery concoction with no coffee taste that had a salted cream on top. The menu said it would be sweet but I assure you no flavour, sweet or savoury, was detectable. I am not a snob nor a very picky customer so the first time I assumed it was just a bad day, the second I was disappointed, today I decided not to give the drinks another chance because they are not cheap and 3/3 is a bad score.

What prompted me to post a review was not the disappointing coffee but the service. I am from the service industry so I totally understand being tired or overwhelmed or just having a bad day. I am very patient as a customer because my full time job is serving annoying people coffee. But when I have paid 6,80 for a (bad) drink and I sit there with my friend who ordered food (the food is good btw) and another expensive drink, and I politely ask and wait for a glass of tap water, and you serve me the tiniest glass half empty (see photo), after looking visibly irritated that I asked, then I’m running out of reasons to give your neighbourhood place a chance.

Food: good Drinks: subpar Value for money: not good Atmosphere: nice Would...

I recently visited CafĂ© “Why Not” and decided to try their cappuccino. Let me tell you, it was an absolutely amazing experience!

The moment my cappuccino arrived, I was captivated by its rich aroma and beautifully crafted foam art. The presentation alone was a treat for the eyes. Upon taking the first sip, I was greeted with a perfect balance of velvety smoothness and robust espresso flavor.

The barista’s expertise truly shone through in every aspect of the cappuccino. The milk was frothed to perfection, creating a creamy texture that complemented the bold espresso perfectly. The temperature was spot on, ensuring each sip remained enjoyable from start to finish.

The attention to detail and commitment to quality at CafĂ© “Why Not” is evident in the presentation and taste of their beverages. The friendly staff members were knowledgeable and passionate, making my visit all the more enjoyable.

The ambiance of the café was cozy and inviting, providing a pleasant environment to relax and savor my cappuccino. The overall experience left me feeling content and uplifted.

If you’re a cappuccino lover like me, I highly recommend visiting CafĂ© “Why Not.” You won’t be disappointed! I can’t wait to return and explore more of their delightful...

Liked the place a lot - has its own vibe, wide menu for breakfast/lunch food and for the drinks like coffee and many cold coffee likes drinks and ice tea. I had a smoked salmon rice bowl and eat it all to the last rice piece, very nice and tasty! A bit of critical feedback. While the staff and the food where both great, we totally experienced some problems with management when we visited. We waited for 1 hour to get not only our food but the drinks as well. While we waited we saw at least people from two tables who came to the barista at the teil being unhappy not being served about the same hour after they made on order. The barista (young Italian guy) was beyond professionalism, was super polite, apologised and suggested to do the refund. We weren’t in. hurry and waited for our order. But obviously the shift was understaffed both on the kitchen and in the coffee/bar area. Felt really sorry for the barista who has nothing to do with this problem and for the people who had to leave losing their time and ending up hungry. Management, please take action, it’s a shame

I had a delightful experience at WhyNot Kaffee. The cafĂ© has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for relaxing or catching up on some work. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we felt comfortable throughout our visit. The coffee was rich and aromatic, clearly made with high-quality beans, and the pastries were fresh and delicious. I highly recommend trying their cappuccino and croissant combo—it’s a perfect start to the day! The pricing is reasonable (around €10-20 per person), and the location on Pohlstraße 74, Berlin is convenient and easy to find. Whether you're a local or just visiting Berlin, WhyNot Kaffee is definitely worth a stop. I’ll be coming back for sure! ☕ Great coffee, lovely ambiance, and excellent service!
