The shop has many options and variety. The shop owner doesn't follow social distancing during corona times. Even in the extreme lockdown. They never give a receipt of the purchases and accept only cash. They cheat the tax system completely and are over smart and try to sell you more by nagging you to buy new items. The lady would always press you on buying her stocked items. She is always saying oh please buy this , buy this, this is new product, we just got it today, which is really annoying. always check the expiry date of products. The vegetables are said to be fresh but are always more than a couple of days old. The lady is always listening and whenever you say something she insists on buying it, once I mentioned Frooti and she started pestering me about it, she said, “yes, we have this Frooti , yes please buy it, it is very good, buy the whole pack.” , I once asked for 5 samosas and she only had 3 she asked me to wait for 10 minutes as the new stock was on it’s way. So I waited and then new box of hot samosas arrived and she slyly packed the 3 old and cold samosas hoping I wouldn’t notice, but when I asked her to pack all 5 fresh and warm samosas she started acting innocent and said, “oh, sorry I didn’t notice that this was cold” and I was like, really it is not so hard to notice cold vs hot, a 5 years old can tell the difference, keep an eye out on the aunty / lady she is really sly and just call...
Read moreBought Mehendi cones which was not Mehendi but all chemical in a cone. Thankfully did not react on skin of kids on whom these were used. The lady selling said they sell a lot of these cones but never mentioned even once that it's not real Mehendi. Also bought Bikaji besan barfi which was well within the expiry date but on opening it had fungus and not edible. The prices were also marked up compared to Switzerland. Edited to add...im sorry the brand is Bikano (pics attached) Irrespective of the brand what is sold by you there should be a level of hygiene maintained in food stuff. Also when asking for Mehendi cone the assumption it will be a natural product as Mehendi comes from the Henna plants. About inflation rates we are well aware of that and we shopped a lot across Germany but still found comparatively the prices in your store...
Read moreA great place run by a sweet Pakistani couple. They have everything that an Indian can possibly want in their kitchen. Everything from fresh fruits and veggies to frozen aloo pranthas, naans, rotis, heat and eat food by Haldiram and Ashoka, pickles, papads, sharbats and kheer mix, good day biscuits, naan khatai, rusk and so many other things. I loved the place. They also have fresh looking packed Jalebi and burfi. They are famous for fresh samosas which start selling at 11 in the morning and get finished by 4 pm. So I could not get any. The lady said that on Saturdays, the samosas come in multiple batches throughout the day and last till 5 or 6 in the evening. This place is a saviour for a home sick person like me. But they accept only cash. No card accepted here. So...
