The Master Baker — Local services in Athens

I chose a chicken sandwich and an orange juice from the fridge. I asked the owner " is it made here? " She said no. I asked if it's fresh, she said it's from this morning.

The bread in the sandwich was quite stale. The chicken was ok. The drink was off, it was fizzy and tart. I thought maybe it was mandarin but the ingredients said orange apple and carrot.

I told her in Greek that the drink was bad, it has bubbles. She disputed and said it's "natural" and she told me the Fanta has bubbles. I couldn't bother arguing it so I just left.

Total bill was 6.5€. Not expensive but this is a down market area.

Appears to be fairly popular with regular customers, so maybe the goods they bake...

This is the third time I'm having their cheese and spinach pie. I will say the first time it was fresh, flaky and good but the second and third times this is just not fresh. Some of the edges are really really hard and the feeling seems to just be spinach. I don't see and don't taste any cheese either. The sesame circle bread is kind of like bagel and the sandwich comes with cream cheese and a very thin slice of some kind of a ham. Not a whole...

Stumbled across this cute place that did not show up on the map initially, offers good coffee and bakery goods. The coffee was good, bakes are a hit or miss, but over all 4+, great prices. Customer service could be more friendly, but also could be...
