Its with extreme gratefulness that Im posting the review here.Though I was residing in Kochi for more than a decade I have not noticied Kalika boutique which is just nearby Edappally Toll.Thats my bad 🤷🏻‍♀️. This September I came for my engagement from Canada and had has managed to do all the dress related works prior through online.But unfortunately I found my saree blouse for the function had depressively gone wrong.I found this out just 1 day before. Now im not able to express that feeling of desperation.Then i started searching for boutiques, called atleast 20 of them and walked into some shops…to check if anyone can stitch a spare blouse for me. But it was all too late then that everyone busy in Onam works.Finally on the morning of my engagement I got Kalika boutiques number and I called right away..Fousy itha was very calm and pleasant in talking and told me the actual situation of ongoing rush works for Onam and the weddings. Yet when she heard that it is my engagement day she thought for a second and told me instantly she can check with the production if any slight possibilty for a slot.Right after 10 mins her call came and I was literally tensed answering it.But ithha told me calmly to bring the blouse asap.she managed to reach exactly at the time and took measurement. Within 2 hrs the blouse was ready. I was already at the function venue and had to send someone to collect my blouse.I dint get time even to trial the blouse.

Then was my moment of total gratitude to Fousy itha…🥰🥰🥰 the blouse was absolutely perfect…not even a single alteration…I cried literally..

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this boutique. I had 2 churidar sets stitched there of which one had a simple alteration, and I was told I’d have to wait for sometime it to get done. Since I was pressed for time, I agreed to come back in two days. When I returned three days later to collect it, they suddenly realized they didn’t have my churidar on hand. They claimed it was in their stitching unit and promised to bring it soon.

I went to a nearby dry cleaner and came back, only to find the boutique locked. After repeatedly calling both of the contact numbers they provided (more than 5-6 times), no one answered. When the owner finally picked up, I was told the staff had gone to get my churidar, but no one had bothered to inform me beforehand that they were closing or when I could expect them to return. This complete lack of communication was very unprofessional and frustrating.

What’s worse, the stitching itself was basic—nothing special, and honestly, I could have gotten the same work done at any small local shop for a fraction of the cost. They charged me a premium charge of Rs 4250 for two churidar sets, with basic stitching and lining, and one of the churidars even had noticeable outpouchings in the armpit area, which was the very reason I needed an alteration in the first place!

The customer service was absolutely terrible, and with the lack of professionalism and quality, I will not be returning. Definitely not...

Me and my family is settled in Singapore and My sister planned for her wedding in a month, it was such a short notice and as her bridesmaid I had to take care of all the things related to the wedding. She wanted to stitch the dress in Kerala itself according to her likes. I came across all the websites suggested by my friends for a wedding dress but couldn't get a date to be stitched before wedding. Then, I came across Kalika from my google search, and ended up choosing them due to availability of the date around the wedding and more importantly because of the owner, Fousia's patience during our first consultation via online. She cleared all our doubts regarding the dress. As my sister was busy, she was only able to reach India a week before marriage, so we sent similar pictures of some of the wedding dress she likes and her measurement. Even though we didn't expect much from them because of the short notice. But I was really impressed with the entire team's professionalism and the effort to make her dress so special. My sister was surprised by her dress. The dress was perfectly fit and she was looking so beautiful on the big day.She was so happy, and it was all because of Team Kalika.
