This is a college which is rated as the best college by UGC but it has a very rude staff who are least helpful if any student approaches them. They have lofty ideas but they are not at all student friendly. This is an institution where there is no education imparted and absolutely no empathy towards the students. I am appalled that such colleges are being given such accreditation's.
I would request the college management and its staff to be more open towards the students when they come to them with issues rather than brusquely brushing them aside. The less said about their behavior towards parents as they do not have the time or the decency to help anyone. I pity students who fail in their exams and have to appear for retests cause such students are made to run from pillar to post just to understand when they have to appear for their exams. Also the college does not give them any assurance of admission to the next year. This ensures that the students are under tremendous pressure, the parents are in deep trouble but the college preens about its status to all and sundry.
I request the college to wake up and stop strutting around when they cannot decide on simple issues like timetable and other simple day to day matters. Let them first ensure that no student is turned away and all help is given to every student whether they pass or fail and that all students should be made to feel at home.
Today the college is a past shadow of its former glory and it this continues the day is not far when it turns out to be another money making...
Read moreWas a science student from 2007-2009 (FYJC and SYJC).The dreadful two years of my life! Computer science faculties couldn't even talk proper English but used to be strict as hell.Since this college is one of those colleges to absorb 'bade baap ke bigde hue bete',some of us were near to get bullied (College had anti ragging squad that time but I said 'bullied').
Some highlights at that time:
Mrs Devleker (Chemistry teacher) - unnecessary showing biased behaviour.
Mrs.Chitra Joshi (Chemistry) - lost(rather got stolen) my chemistry lab kit during practicals and after informing she simply said 'mag mi kay karu'.They have high tech infra but no budget for CCTV (talking about year 2007).
Bhakti Wagh (Computer Science) - 'Those who are not submit journals their journals are not get checked' kind of English.
Even the computer lab guy at that time had more attitude than professors.
In 11th standard the attendance was compulsary as hell that the defaulters used to receive letter in their house while in 12th, classes used to be empty and computer labs used to be full to attend Mr.Karmude's private tutions.
I hope the management is good now since college has...
