For the past few years I have suffered considerable lower back pain (possibly caused by shifting too much weigh onto one leg before a knee replacement on the other). Foolishly I thought I would be stuck with this for the rest of my days (I'm 78). Recently an older person known to my wife and myself enthused about the benefits she derived from visits to the Dun Laoghaire branch of Care_Cure (she said that before going there the only part of her that wasn't in pain was her hair!). Also, I have been plagued with a stiff neck for almost 18 months (a result of banging my cycle helmet against a solid object)... once again I thought I would just have to put up with this...

Yesterday - Tuesday 30th January 2024 - I made my first (of six) visits to Care_Cure in Dun L. (I believe I was treated by a Dr. David, a delightful, soft-spoken, Chinese acupuncturist) and already - after just a single visit (massage plus acupuncture) I feel that I am well on the path to a pain free lower back and stiff neck.

Both my wife and I were made to feel welcome (a cup of Chinese tea provided before and after treatment), I cannot wait for my second visit, and on the basis on my initial experience I can highly recommend going there.

I went in for an initial consultation and ended up getting acupuncture done, I wasn't explained what was happening, I felt really uncomfortable, the doctor did the cupping treatment and I had no explanation throughout the process of what was happening even though they knew it was my first time. I was left with deep bruises, which I only noticed the next day, no one explained I would get these or what it means until I researched myself.
