Camile Thai Rathmines — Restaurant in Dublin

I made sure I went through all lengths to write my first review on Google+. If you have good and functioning taste buds, refrain from spending your hard earned money here, as I decided to try this restaurant for the first time, only to be highly disappointed by everything, and I mean everything, from the food, down to the customer service.

The food wasnt properly cooked, the noodles had a lot of white patches from the chef not stirring the noodles together with the ingredients properly, why, I couldn't honestly tell you.

The noodles had a sharp tangy taste, like someone poured extra sauce on it or, perhaps vinegar, which made it taste like cardboard soaked in water.

I requested for a prawn meal, and I was met with just only 5 prawns in my box stuffed with noodles. After calling them over the phone to express my concerns, I was told by the manager that they receive that complaint a lot (about there not being enough meat) but they have to go by certain grams or so and there's nothing they could do.

I mean, after paying €12 for a box of noodles with limited prawns which I'm sure they wernt happy to give away because they are misers, it's only right to tell anyone who will luckily see this before throwing away their money into a sink hole.

Had I known, I should have stuck to kanoodle restaurant who spoil you with enough prawns and...

After trying to place an order with my regular Camile restaurant, Google had put the Rathmines phone number. It’s a mistake on my part maybe I should have the number saved on my contacts but saying that, the staff on the phone never specified clearly which location when I ordered. I went to collect in Artane where the lovely staff realised I must have rang the wrong restaurant and assured me it’s fine and to call them and let them know, when I called the staff were extremely rude on the phone explaining to me I must go collect in rathmines and that it’s policy etc etc, when I hadn’t paid for the order, and let them know within 10 mins, when they said my order would take 20 mins. The person on the phone repeatedly argued with me until they put a manager on, who said “it’s fine” and hung up the call. I understand this is an error on my part, googles part and the staff answering the phone but the service I received when trying to rectify the issue was absolutely disgraceful and unacceptable. Definitely go to the Artane restaurant if you can the staff there are all incredible so helpful each time ! Will not be visiting rathmines after that...

I've eaten here twice now, neither time has impressed. But let's focus on the most recent. The delivery driver could barely speak a word of English and couldn't find where we lived, adding ten minutes on to the order. Eventually I took pity on him and walked three streets and flagged him down. He had the correct address. Things not exactly off to a flying start. But hey... if the food hits the spot then a multitude of sins can be forgiven. Not so this evening.

The spring rolls tasted of oil that had long since seen better days. On to my main - a satay chicken noodle dish. The only reason this gets two stars was the sauce was edible. The noodles were a mushy mess, reminded me of overcooked supermarket fare. The real faux pas though was the tough rubbery pre-cooked chicken. Utterly vile. You know the stuff - thinly sliced, tastes of nothing and texture of leather. How anyone can sell this with a straight face is beyond me. The Lady had a vegan dish which I would describe charitably as "mediocre"

Needless to say I won't be...
