I’ve been a loyal customer of this pub for the last four years and have always loved the atmosphere and the memories I’ve made here. It really pains me to leave a one-star review, but my recent experience with the new security staff has left me feeling unwelcome and disrespected. When leaving the pub with my friends, we paused briefly at the entrance to say goodbye. The security guard asked us to move, saying we were blocking the entrance, and we complied. However, as I turned to say a quick goodbye to my friends, the security guard mocked and mimicked me, which felt incredibly unprofessional. When I addressed his behavior and said it was rude, he replied, “Well, I warned you twice.” I believe a security guard’s role is to ensure the safety and comfort of all patrons, not to antagonize or mock regular customers who pose no threat to the business or other customers. I’ve never had issues at this pub before, and I hope the management will address this matter. If I see improvements in how customers are treated, I’ll be more than happy to update my review to reflect the pub I’ve come to love.

Visited here last Thursday after work for a few drinks. Place is has a very homely feeling with the huge tables and candles. The other tables had stiff benches. The music playing was a bit at odds with the atmosphere. Was very good to see lindemans being served for a reasonable price. Bathrooms are horrible though. Some of them do not flush, a bad smell and have very dim lighting. My friend had a sauvignon blanc and it tasted horrible. So best not to order any wine here. The bar to order at, always has people sitting in front of it so it's a bit annoying to order at. It's a pity. The atmosphere and service is good but could definitely work on some things.

I went to Blackbird with a couple of friends for a meet up. They have a wide range of alcohols to choose from. I ordered double shots of gin with tonics and my friends went for the ginger beer. The pub gets really busy in the evenings especially on weekends, however this place serves a very happening and cosy vibe. Their staff is very friendly and quick to serve. They serve Pizzas, however they’re brought from the next door Neapolitan pizza shop - UNO Pizzas and they are super to taste. We ordered the margarita and hot honey pizza. Both the pizzas were yumm, however the hot honey was a super sweet pizza. One of my “MUST VISIT PUB”recommendations.

I came here to meet friends recently. I've been a few times and the atmosphere is usually good. I like the vibe but looking forward to never returning after experiencing such poor service. I've worked in the industry and understand what it's like when it's busy so I had no problem waiting to be served at the bar but on this occasion we were standing at the bar for 10-15 minutes and completely ignored. There wasn't any strategy between the staff to serve this side of the bar they just continued to make drinks in front of us and bring them back to the other side. I was forced to ask a female staff member if we should move to the other side to get served as it seemed as though we were invisible. I asked her nicely and said I know they are busy but her response was quite rude and blunt and I really felt Iike I was inconveniencing her by wanting to order a drink. This is completely unacceptable customer service and it wasn't an isolated incident. Sort this out and its...

Canadian Tourist experience was absolute hell. I approached the bar and tried to get the attention of the bar staff for well over an hour. I did eventually get a drink from a lovely young man who I later found out was the Manager. I observed the bartender completely have a melt down and cuss out two gentleman in their 50’s, simply because they tried to wave him down to purchase a pint. I have never in my 20 years of working in customer service ever witness something this unprofessional. Telling your customers to “F” off doesn’t seem like the Irish way. Majority of the staff seem very angry just being there. My friend that I went with did converse with the Manager and explained that he had been going to this bar for years. Up until a year ago, he said the staff were so pleasant and inviting. Needless to say, I won’t be going back. Who goes to a pub and is scared to...
