This is one place to visit when you are in Dublin. The amount of green around this place won’t be found easily around Dublin, during summer always never forget to pass by and get that fresh sun , or maybe walking your dog or Jogging, or hanging out and having fun with your kids. And then walk paths are also been improved , security on top and the green grass so clean that i hard to lay down for some sun bathing. This park is that place that your Dog will not want to leave, your kids will always want to come back and for the couples , this is the place for you to enjoy in ways I can’t explain. Very nice square park with controlled access. It is sorrounded by tipical buildings with colored doors and it is a good place for a rest or to stay with your dog or with your childs. Sometime it is a place for ctural events with many partecipants. Good to visit if you want something typical a little outside the crowded center of Dublin.

Nice open Park set in Georgian Mountjoy Square with kids playground and basketball courts. Plenty of benches for seating. There are a few 'characters' hanging around from time to time but generally a friendly vibe and garda/police station on adjacent Fitzgibbon Street keep a close eye on the place.

Completely neglected - an absolute untapped economic and social resource. Dublin has five Georgian parks (Mountjoy Square, Merrion Square, Fitzwilliam Square, St Stephens Green, Parnell Square/The Garden of Remembrance) and this one needs serious rejuvenation. All of the other parks bring distinct social vitality and nearby commercial energy. However Mountjoy, sharing it's name with the nearby medium security prison, is full of rubbish, shady characters and wasted potential. It needs to change its name and get gentrified ffs...

-and there's a serious lack of traffic lights or pedestrian crossings making it...

Horrible place surrounded by anti social activity. kids running around would rob you blind or throw rocks while their parents stand there doing nothing or smoking. Loads of anti social behaviour and the unhomed swarm the park and surrounding area.drinking alcohol, smoking naecotics, teenagers constantly going around on bikes causing trouble.

City tries to keep upkeep on flowers and recreational equipment but it's often vandalised or destroyed. Should shut the park and let the lot them go at it...
