We stayed at this hotel during a recent visit to Dublin, and while there were a few positives, overall the experience was disappointing. We do actually quite love IHG hotels so this was sad one off.||The room was clean and had a well-designed work desk setup that offered privacy from the bed — a nice touch for those working while traveling. However, one of the biggest issues we encountered was around the hotel’s pet policy. Although it was listed as “pet-friendly” on several travel sites, we found out on arrival that only service animals are allowed. This was not clearly communicated, and as a result, we had to scramble to find alternative accommodation. The hotel did allow us to stay one night as an exception, which we appreciated, but the situation caused unnecessary stress.||Unfortunately, we also found Dublin in general to be not very pet-friendly, especially in the evenings when most green spaces and parks are locked.||The area around the hotel, while once beautiful, now feels quite unsafe, especially at night. We noticed a significant number of unhoused individuals, as well as people openly drinking or appearing to be on drugs. The hotel does try to maintain security with keycard access for the building and stairwells, which we appreciated, but the atmosphere outside made us uncomfortable. Additionally, there’s no on-site parking, so you’ll need to walk from a nearby garage, which adds to the challenge.||Breakfast was also not great from a gluten-free perspective. One server told us something was safe, while another contradicted them. Even though an allergen menu was provided, a staff member mentioned that their products “sometimes change,” which didn’t inspire much confidence for someone with celiac.||Lastly, it seems that in an effort to be more sustainable, the hotel has made some noticeable cuts to basic amenities — one pillow and towel per person, and no conditioner or lotion provided.||Overall, while the room itself was clean and functional, the lack of clarity around pet policies, safety concerns in the area, and poor gluten-free handling made this a stay we...
Read moreWe reserve this hotel for 4 nights throw booking.com the condition was pay at property when we arrived. Before we arrived I informed them that our check inn was will be late night and for make more confirmation I pay before I came in hotel by booking.com. But unfortunately when we arrived they say they don’t have any room for us maintenance reason. And came manager to talk with us she’s name was Neha. And she explain us she moved us in other hotel near to them and we sleep first night and day after we leave the room and with all things we came here. But when I ask the lady why we should suffer all off this the way she approached was so rude. And they moved us another hotel that night all night we suffer with out heating the room was cold. Day after early morning we packed our everything and we present the hotel and I explained everything to another lady staff in reception and I request the lady that now we are leaving our luggage and we are going outside for meeting please let us know when our room will be available because also that time they didn’t have room for us. And I requested to arrange so fast room for us because last night we could not sleep. But all day we waited outside for waiting call from them but no body was call us to let us know if we have room or not. After evening I call them also that time some one picked phone and she say she don’t know anything she passed the call another guy I explain again everything and the guy say he don’t know anything he requested me to wait and he will call me back. After few minutes the manager lady Neha she call me and say the arrange room for us and when I asked the manager what kind of service that we suffer all day and waiting call from them but why no body call and again her behaviour was so rude. For all of that confusion we missed our bus service to came back in Dublin and stay in another hotel for another night. My question to the authorities paying in advance booking before a few weeks ago why we faced all of this situation and who will refund us money. We paid...
Read moreOur hotel room was very clean upon our arrival and staff were very friendly and welcoming, they also accommodated to our needs for example keeping our bags both whilst we waited to check in and also after we checked out waiting to go to the airport. All of the rooms have Dove products for guest use which was a nice touch, no need to bring your own shampoo and conditioner due to this. The shower pressure was also extremely good. Very up to date rooms and reception. The breakfast was extremely good, definitely the best hotel breakfast we’ve had! So many options to choose from, definitely caters for everyone. Fresh pastries, pancakes made from a machine right in front of you and fresh juices too. The hotel is very central, many places are within walking distance along with many tram and bus stops just outside or around the corner. We found that the hotel bar was actually quite a bit cheaper than any of the pubs around that we went too which was nice. About a 15 minute walk from the Temple Bar area which is really popular for tourists. Literally a 5 minute walk from the portal to New York which is so cool. Would definitely stay here if we came to Dublin again and couldn’t really fault this hotel. The only downside I would say is the toilet rolls in the rooms are very poor quality, with a thin, cheap feel to them. The toilet rolls that they use in the toilets in reception are much higher quality and would be nicer to have in the rooms. You find you’re using more toilet roll that usual in the rooms as it is so thin. It is also next to a few pubs, so if you are a light sleeper and are here over a Friday or Saturday night then you may struggle to get to sleep due to the noise of the music coming from the pubs as well as people drinking and being quite loud. This is obviously out of the hotel’s control and luckily didn’t bother us as we’re quite heavy sleepers. Other than that, no complaints! We really enjoyed our stay. Really good...
