I had a really good night however I was there on a Thursday night, the school was having a quiz night which is grand I asked could I join and was told no as I wasn’t part of the school but I was able to join their raffle. When I questioned this I was told I needed to ask a manager. As new To the area I would have loved to support a local school, Yano yourself go community and all that. When I asked why I couldn’t join I was told to ask the bar staff where they didn’t know the answer and was told I needed to ask management and was met with a quite rude respond and told I wasn’t part of the community. When I pointed out the difference of me entering the raffle vs the quiz I was met with shrugs until I got to the manager ( who I’m not quite sure was the manager and told me I needed to leave even though their barmen and security totally agreed with me) . If a school is trying to get funding why can’t any part of the community participate even if they don’t have a child In the school particularly when it is in a local environment where the community would like to participate ??? What if I was a refugee who had moved into the community and was told I couldn’t join in community events as I had no child here or was new to...

We had a voucher for here as my husband got from coaching our sons football team with railway union we were excited to try the food. TBH if I paid for this food out of our pockets we would be very disappointed. We got 2 chicken burgers 1 beef burger and fish and chips. The presentation was lovely but the taste did not match unfortunately we are not fussy eaters and we ate the food but I wanted to let you know for 16.50 the food needs looking at (fish was good my son had) pints were good, place is nice we enjoyed watching the match just the food was lacking in flavors beef burgers had a weird combination of spices in the patty n was dry. Sorry for the bad review I hope this issue is resolved or maybe it was just our food that wasn't great at the time. Just we...

I went for a meal with my father this Sunday, we ordered a meal and there was some items missing from the plate, we told the waiter which was fine, the food came out a second time with more items missing, when my dad let them know the waiter was very unhappy and walked off muttering 'jesus christ', her attitude was really harsh to us. Guessing they have a problem with a certain type of people.

Families and children around and other customers asked if we wore ok as they witnessed the way we were treated. I felt extremely uncomfortable in the situation and as we paid the bill in full I let the server know how the women treated us and we did not even receive an apology.

Not a nice experience whatsoever with rude staff, would not...

Came here with a group of 4 towards the end of the night. Had a solid meal. Nothing amazing, but not bad either. We started with wings. They were wonderfully big and tasty, but not very crispy. Others thought they might've been underdone, but I thought they were fine. Two of us got the Chicken Pie and were really pleased, so I'd recommend that. I got their burger and was very disappointed. It was overdone, tough, and kind of chunky; would not recommend. And finally my dad was pleased with the fish and chips (or whatever they call it). The place itself is nice, with a pretty typical eclectic collection of stuff on the walls and surfaces. Seems like a fun place to hang out in the evenings for a pint or for dinner.

I was in Dublin for the day with my mate, and after a lot of walking we stumbled across this hidden gem of a place. It was very quiet when we were there but the place was very clean and had a lovely atmosphere. The barman Chris was such a decent guy, he suggested a booth so we could have drinks and charge our phones and he was decent to talk to. The Guinness was bang on. Chris, I highly recommend you and The Merry Cobbler to anyone and on my next visit I won't hesitate on coming back for a drink. Cheers Ps, that's Chris on the right in the group photo
