Forget your overpriced and overrated 'Lan Sorenzo' and come on over to the Oarsman for some amazing quality food, good value for money and friendly staff. I've been here for breakfast and was more than pleasantly surprised. The scrambled eggs with grilled asparagus was the best scrambled eggs I've ever paid for. Went another time for dinner and it was just as wonderful. The bread and butter pudding is actually the best I've ever had too! Highly recommended whether you want a drink with some nibbles or just some grub.

This place has a great vibe and it feels as an authentic Irish pub. Service is good and food was surprisingly good. I can recommend the seafood spicy rissoto, it is creamy and tasty. Nice place to spend some time with a group of friends or for a date. I will definitely visit it again.

We tried nearly everything on the menu and everything tasted delicious. Especially the warm whiskey and goat cheese salad you see on the picture :)

Used to be a decent place but has gone downhill. The last time I visited, they would only accept cash, despite there now existing 3 forms of payment. If you had a card, they would ask you to visit the incredibly dodgy looking ATM downstairs. However if you use you Google or Apple Pay, you're out of luck and won't be able to pay. Some people including myself only use contactless payment because it's cheaper for both the customer and business to process, and because it removes the need to bring sensitive cards and cash in your wallet everyday.

If this policy remains in place, I will not be visiting again. It's completely unacceptable for a business to deny 2 of the 3 most common forms of payment and to force customers to pay hefty ATM transaction fees, likely because the business doesn't want to pay incredibly tiny...

Had been recommended here for food, got a taxi out before the darts, it wasn't open. Girl in cafe next door said they open at 4 for food so we had a pint down the road and came back. They don't even do food anymore, was a shame but bar staff lovely and recommended somewhere else and was a great shout as well. As I said, we had a pint elsewhere before hand and it was honestly one of the worst pints I've ever drank. Pints in The Oarsman were pure heaven. They had the racing on too which is always a bonus for me as a racing man. A few couple's came in looking for food so maybe they need to make it more known online they aren't doing good but a lovely pub and would definitely go back for a few scoops. Hopefully they do food again one day, was very...

I came here on a Sunday evening largely because of what I saw on the menu on their website. When I arrived, they had neither of the things I'd came there for -- the website was just flat wrong.

I ended up staying and ordering different things, and ended up not quite liking my Entree. The soup and dessert were pleasant, however, and the waitress was quite friendly and attentive.

It got a bit hot inside, even though it was fairly cold out. Not sweltering, but just enough to make me uncomfortable. There didn't seem to be any fans or active ventilation in the...
