THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. RUN AS FAR AS POSSIBLE!!!!!

if i could give this place a big fat 0 i absolutely would. the service is abysmal - the worst we have experienced so far in our entire trip in italy - and that is saying something.

they tried to hard-sell us on overpriced drinks. we did not want any. they kept pushing us to order.

we only ordered 3 dishes to share among 5 people (we weren't that hungry with the raging summer heat blazing) - they immediately were unhappy, and showed it. they again tried to make us order more.

when we handed our menus back, the waiter, Vincenzo, was frankly plain rude. a couple of us didn't fold back the folio with the front page facing up - and were reprimanded like school children. not even an italian grandmother would talk to you that way.

they only gave us 3 sets of cutlery - which, okay, fair, considering we only ordered 3 dishes - but given the context of everything combined, felt like a targeted act.

waiter slammed the menus down on the table before taking it away.

he was rude to other customers as well. as he was taking our orders, the people from another table moved towards the exit and asked for the bill. he very rudely told them to go sit back down and wait for it - only after the other customers said that a different waiter had told them to leave then only he let them go.

oh and also, the food is mid as hell. run, don't come here - no matter how much they try to entice you at...

We had late lunch here earlier today, the shop was empty when we arrived. The servers were friendly however a bit pushy. Like they haven’t hit their quota and keep on pushing us to order more.

We ordered (to share) an antipasti, 1st course, 2nd course and we were mislead to order another side dish which we thought it was included on the grilled chicken that we ordered. Anyways, when the food was served it was served all at the same time. The plates is huge that it already occupied the entire table, well the servers did not even gave us an extra table so all the plates can fire nicely, also there were no extra plates given! When it was given that was sharing meal! 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

The food was bland and even the presentation of the food wasn’t appetizing.

We ordered:

Grilled Chicken - bland no taste it looks more like it’s fried than grilled. Also they used chicken breast fillet, it was tough and looks like pre boiled. Spaghetti Fruta de Mare - we’ve tasted better than this, the seafood/shells is also very little. Just 2 pieces of shell and 2 pieces of mussels. Seafood Salad - plain. just veggie mix salad with boiled squid and fake crab meats and fish cakes. Grilled eggplants and zucchini - nothing special. DO NOT GO HERE!! the waiter was too sweet to be wholesome, I saw through it. Pushing us to buy food and drinks. Luckily I just wanted something small. We got a pizza to share which was just okay. Heated up and sitting there days my guess. I got a spritz for a drink and the Prosecco was flat. A spritz is meant to be fizzy, not flat Prosecco that has clearly been open a few days.

The most disgusting part of this whole experience was we were lured in by a waiter who said the price on the menu is what you will pay, no cover charge. We fell for it. 2 drinks, 2 waters, and a pizza was €35. Our bill was €40. We paid, but as I sat there I calculated and it did not make sense to me how it was €40. I asked for a receipt in which we were given a receipt that just said our total amount. I asked for a breakdown of the cost of the items and he couldn’t provide that, I said it should only be €35. He said the rest is tips for worker TIPS. I live in the US and worked as a server so I am familiar with how tipping works. I know for a fact in Italy that’s not how it goes, and if a tip is going to be added, it should state it on the menu. I have tipped the whole way through my Italian trip let me add, but I did not like how we were straight up robbed. We got our €5 back. It was just 5 bucks, but to me it was principal. Blind robbery!! Stay away...
