Martina (I think that was her name? I’m sorry, I can’t remember exactly but she was the employee wearing the white blouse on September 24, Sunday and the only employee who took the time to explain the full story behind the brand/store as far as I could see) welcomed us as we entered the store. And she made all the difference in our decision to shop here instead of just browse around. Her customer service was one of the best we’ve had in Sicily (not exaggerating); she was kind, charismatic, and eager (but not pushy) to explain the concept behind the unique store brand, how the store is laid out, and messages behind the t-shirt designs. She explained how to identify products that were locally made in Sicily, how Sicilian-Italian was different than your mainland Italian, and how this store specifically chose to use phrases using Sicilian, making their shirt designs unique from other Italian brands). Their shirts, dresses, hats, and bags were all unique, and she explained to us as well as multiple other shoppers what the different phrases meant. We visited other stores of the same brand, but none took the time to explain how their store and products were unique, what the different t-shirt designs meant, and what size would fit us best (given that Italy has its own distinct sizing from the USA and the rest of the EU). So despite originally thinking we weren’t going to find anything to buy from here, Martina helped change our minds and we discovered a funny souvenirs shirt with a story to take home. And the best part was that this shirt is in Sicilian, with a cute design, from a store that has an honorable mission to spread the Sicilian culture and language beyond the islands. Se sei un turista, devi andarci! Devi entrare perchè tutti meritano di ricevere un regalo che sia degno di essere chiamato tale e la Sicilia che non può essere portata via attraverso i suoi ottimi alimenti, deve essere portata via attraverso l'abbigliamento e gli accessori di Siculamente, che contengono, in se, la vera natura del siciliano, senza trascurare la qualità, infatti son prodotti di assoluta eccellenza e spesso anche di lavorazione artigianale. Se non sei simpatico, alla mano, attento e premuroso ma soprattutto se non hai una favolosa parlantina e quindi tutte quelle doti che caratterizzano noi popolo siciliano, non può lavorare il un negozio Siculamente, pertanto, aspettatevi dei commessi del tutto STRAORDINARI e completamente fuori dagli schemi ordinari e se non fossero così, richiamateli all'ordine. Inoltre, io che sono siciliana e che non necessito di souvenir, vi garantisco che all'occorrenza acquisto più che volentieri. Il negozio si trova nella centralissima via Etnea e anche se non godo di un parcheggio privato, trovandosi in zona pedonale e commerciale, direi che l'assenza del parcheggio passa del tutto in secondo piano. Partiamo dal presupposto che il nome è una figata, un gioco di parole molto accattivante. Ho acquistato un cappello in stile Borsalino ad un prezzo, direi, corretto (43€). Le coppole sono bellissime, e le magliette di ottima qualità e con frasi in siciliano molto divertenti. Ma la cosa più bella sono state le commesse. Estremamente gentili e garbate, tanto che mi hanno fatto provare anche diversi modelli di coppole (con la consapevolezza che NON le avrei acquistate perché avevo già acquistato un altro cappello) per vedere come mi stavano e per trovare la taglia giusta per poter valutare, in seguito, un acquisto online.
