Read moreWe went here hoping to get coffee at around 10am today and it was absurd how the waiters didn’t seem interested to attend to us at all. A couple of women who only spoke English too, arrived after us, seated next to us was entertained before us. We thought the waiter would ask us next but he walked away. It took some time before we were able to get the waiter’s attention, we felt like we were being avoided. When the waiter finally approached us, we started giving our orders but before we could even finish, he looked at his phone and said wait, then walked away again. We waited again and we saw him serving coffee to other tables. It was really absurd. We felt unwanted at this establishment so we stood up and walked past the same waiters who didn’t say anything and didn’t even look at us. I really wonder why. I hope it’s not because I am Asian. But I do have a sad feeling it was my first experience of racism in Italy. Would avoid this place like a plague if I ever come...

I wouldnt repeat the experience....there are mucho cheaper places to have spritz and coffee in catania...what pissed me off was not only the high prices but the fact that the attention was not Up to the standards and that they offered you nothing ...not even a few chips...most people were in our same situation....if you spend 8 euros in a spritz...come on...serve some snacks...a bunch of olives or some chips or nuts....to everybody...not only the locals...we had other much more pleasant experiences in Italy....specially in Milán...we were served nuts, focaccia, olives and even pasta with our expensive drinks....wouldnt...
