Freccia Lounge — Local services in Florence

I am usually very reasonable when it comes to service and atmosphere, however, this was an awful experience. I was in cart 1 (first class - silence area) and there was no aircon whatsoever. Another guest asked about it but the worker yelled telling us to just move to another cart. The heat and lack of oxygen was unbearable. The lounge is clean but not luxurious.

This is a kind of rural train station after all in my opinion.

The food on the train was not good. Anticipating this, my husband had bought a McDonald's with him. When we were about to off the train, the train waiter told me to take the McDonald’s trash with us outside saying that you can’t leave it. My husband didn't have the train meal and neatly packed up the trash even. This is what they call executive service....

Per chi come me viaggia da anni sui treni Frecciarossa, i frecciaclub sono una specie di oasi nel deserto, luogo dove riposarsi, rilassarsi e godere di una certa atmosfera di tranquillità sebbene all'interno del caos di stazioni come Roma Firenze o Milano. L' ambiente e' moderno ed elegante. Oltre che del salone, dotato di wi-fi , comode poltrone, tavolini e servizi igienici, si può usufruire anche di un servizio di caffetteria, minibar e piccoli spuntini gratuiti( d'estate anche i gelati😁), riservato ai soci del club, ai possessori delle carte freccia Oro e Platino o di biglietti di prima classe salottino e business. Il personale e' gentilissimo e professionale e il servizio offerto è impeccabile .Ovviamente ,oltre al punto di ristoro, il principale servizio e' quello della biglietteria. Risolvono tutti i tuoi problemi, ti sanno dare qualsiasi informzione. Questo almeno per quanto mi riguarda, e dopo quasi 15 anni di viaggi con Frecciarossa con cadenza quasi settimanale,posso veramente ringraziare questo servizio che riesce ad alleviare la pesantezza di questa routine....
