Five Guys Florence — Restaurant in Florence

Beware tourists!!! This place is a trap for bag snatchers and thieves!!! No matter how hungry you are, do not stop here and eat!!! I took my family here to eat after our train ride from Rome on 6/10/25 around 2:45pm. We were hungry, and we saw Five Guys, which is familiar to us from the US. First of all, it cost us more than $60 for four burger meals!!! That's a robbery in itself!!! Then, while we were eating, I put my small bag with my passport, credit card, driver's license, and many other valuable things in it on the side along with my backpack. When we finished eating, I tried to grab the small bag, and it was gone!!! I did not even realize that a criminal thief took it. It was a very heavy feeling to experience. I filed a police report inside the station, which did not really get my things back, but I'm glad I did because that helped in the end in getting an emergency passport. It was also a good thing that I had a copy of my passport in my backpack, so I was able to go to the US Consulate the following day to apply for an emergency passport. I also was able to report all my credit cards as stolen as soon as it happened, so those thieves can not use any of those cards. They have security cameras inside the restaurant but it's just a false sense of security. The manager won't release any videos unless you request the police to release it which would probably take a long time. So no matter how hungry you are at Santa Maria Novella train station in Florence, Italy, do not stop at Five Guys or any other restaurants inside the train station. Just get out of the station as soon as you get off the train and hold on to your belongings like it's a matter of life and death. This is a warning to...

Purely reviewing the service here. I placed an online order, however after payment (it charged my card) I received an error. I walked to the store and spoke to the employees. I showed them the order, the payment, and explained that I got an error. They confirmed no order had come through on their system. Despite this, they understood my concerns about having to pay twice, and so made my order without me having to pay. It was a pleasant surprise and outstanding service I didn’t expect from a fast food...

I’d like to say that I came as a tourist and from the two visits I had, it was a thousand times better than the US version.

As soon as I walk in, I can smell the animal fat in the air. The burgers AND fries both tasted so much better than the US version. That’s why I went twice, back to back. It was also late and I was lazy haha.
