Genuinely dumbfounded how this place is rated this highly over almost 10,000 reviews. Meal and service were so weak based on the expectation of prior reviews.

One of the most mid meals I’ve had in Italy after being here over a month especially when considering the prices. The drinks are expensive. The tortellini tasted like it was boiled out of a bag in the freezer from the supermarket. The ragu was like it came out of the jar. Nothing tasted authentic or fresh. I think my blind grandmother with no tongue could have crafted a better tasting meal than what we were served. On top of it tasting so bad it also took an abnormally long time to come out.

Additionally, my partner ordered a bruschetta which I guess they took it as both of us wanted a bruschetta appetizer??? We told them in confusion when they placed two plates that we had only ordered one but the server just said something in Italian and walked off. We should have protsted more but I didn’t want to make a scene over 8 euros. Still ended up getting charged for 2 orders. Never had that happen before in Italy so I’m going to assume it was a scummy move on their part and one done to take advantage of English speaking tourists.

I would definitely not recommend coming here and suggest dining else where. Always a red flag when a resturant does not...

We are visiting from California and have had tons of great Italian food. Stumbled upon this place while wandering around Florence at night and couldn't decide whether we should stay on the western side of the Arno river, or go back to the tourist zone filled with tourist traps and crowds. Found Gusta pizza first (which was on Guy Fieri's Diners Drive Ins and Dives on Food Network), it was super packed with a line wrapping around the corner .... we were super hungry so we passed on that place, and around the corner we found GustaPanino. The ratings were good so we sat down for dinner.

The staff were welcoming, funny, spoke great English, and were accommodating and open to our kids and vegetarian dining requests. Burrata toast starter was spot on, bread fresh and perfectly toasted, vegetable sides + salad were generous, and pastas were fresh and handmade. Our kids loved the tortellini and red sauce pasta. We ended up eating everything and licking sauce off our plates.

At the end of the meal, the owner asked us to stick around, he shared a shot of limoncello with us and told us that he is co-owner of GustaPizza as well, with his brothers, and in the future we will try to eat at both GustaPizza and...

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

During my recent visit to Florence, I had the pleasure of dining at Gustapanino Trattoria, and it was truly an amazing experience!

The highlight of our meal was the pumpkin and blue cheese risotto, which was simply divine. Each bite was rich and flavorful, making it a standout dish. We also enjoyed fresh salads that were crisp and refreshing, perfectly complemented by the delightful Hugo Spritz and Aperol Spritz we ordered.

For those who love pasta, the spicy spaghetti was a delicious treat, bursting with flavor. Additionally, the sandwiches we tried were incredible, packed with fresh ingredients and satisfying.

What made our experience even better was the friendly service. The staff went above and beyond, even opening early for our group of eight, which we greatly appreciated. The restaurant is conveniently located right next to a beautiful square, adding to the lovely ambiance.

If you're in Florence and looking for a fantastic dining experience, I highly recommend Gustapanino Trattoria It's a hidden gem that perfectly blends great food, exceptional service, and a...

I went to a famous pizza place to eat but ended up discovering an even better spot! You’ll need to dine at an outdoor table in the square in front of a cathedral. The place is not very big, so you might have to wait for a while. Although the staff seemed a bit confused with the waiting list, they made up for it with sufficient apologies and friendly service, which made the experience pleasant. Most importantly, every dish we ordered was absolutely delicious. To be honest, I don’t usually eat lasagna in Korea because it’s not very good there. But I was curious about how it would taste in Italy, so I decided to try it—and it was amazing! (It’s a bit sad that I won’t be eating it when I go back to Korea because it won’t taste the same.) The staff’s English was excellent, and the serving time was just right. However, since it’s an outdoor table, it can get a bit chilly once the sun goes down. If you cross just one bridge, you’ll find many other great places with delicious food at reasonable prices. I highly recommend exploring a lot if you visit!

An absolutely delicious lunch at one of our favorite restaurants in Florence. We were thrilled when we found this restaurant 12 years ago, and we come back every time we’re in Italy. Pasquale, the owner, has created a fantastic atmosphere for dining both inside and out, and the smiles on everyone’s faces say everything you need to know about how delicious the food is. On this visit, my wife and I went for the Fiorentine and Mediterraneano panini, and both were fresh and flavorful. The pesto was the best we’ve had this trip, and the salami was perfetto! We wish we had saved room for the Ribollita, which looked wonderful. With only a few days left in Florence, we will be back! We recommend to everyone that you make Gustapanino, Gustaosteria and Gustapizza part of your Santo Spirito tradition. Update (9/24/24) … As promised, we made it back for lunch today, and as always, they did not disappoint! Bruschetta, excellent … Ribollita, delicioso … two panini, the best! Everyone should experience this at least once!

This place has seriously great reviews, so we wanted to try it and see what all the hype was about… It’s definitely one of the better spots for traditional Italian food in the area! Service was excellent; friendly, helpful, and on-point! Their menu is also great, as they have all the popular items, plus many more that are interesting and fun. We were a group of four and tried several items that we all shared and we enjoyed everything. Save room for dessert, they do a very nice job with those as well. I don’t think they offer reservations, so you need to get there early to try to grab a seat. They do have tons of seating in the courtyard area outside, so the wait isn’t long, as long as the weather is conducive to sitting outside. Inside is rather small though. Absolutely loved everything we tried and would return!
