We decided to seek out Dimitri on our trip to Florence after watching the YouTube video that was posted by a YouTuber when he visited Dimitri's leather shop.

We were very happy to find out his shop was only a few min from our Airbnb! When we went in Dimitri was very kind and welcoming even though he was busy at work making some new belts. He answered all of our questions and was very helpful! I couldn't decide on what color of bag I wanted because I try to stick with neutral handbags so that they go with everything. Dimitri immediately pulled out a beautiful dark brown/suede handbag behind him and I fell in love!

I also got a bright pink leather card holder, my husband got a lambskin wallet and both of my girls got leather bracelets. His pricing is extremely fair for the quality and craftsmanship you receive!

Don't shop in the fake little shops in the square. Look up Dimitri's place and help keep a true Italian craftsman...

1000% Authentic. Its crazy what Youtube can do. So a guy from New Zealand with a wife from india came to italy to make a video of a real leathermaker. We come from germany and saw that video. And thats the reason why we went there. And there came another couple from the U.S. who also saw that video, and also went there. Crazy Youtube. Dimitri ist a real fantastic good leathermaker. And he is so cute, authentic and sympathic. We bought 5 belt and 3 bracelets. The quality is sensationel. And the belt are really not expensive. I also wanted to have a pocket and a purse, but unfortunately he die not have what I want. So he sended us to his cousin. The store named "Pelletteria del Corso". There I found what I wanted. I visited Firenze with my family in 2019 and as we waited in line for the museum across the street we noticed the leather goods and figured we'd go in while our dad held our spot in line. The owners and sellers were so kind and even offered to help us ship our goods back home since we purchased more than a few large items. They even burned in our names into the leather bags we bought. I bought a black leather backpack and a large brown tote style briefcase for my "16 gaming laptop. They have held up so well and my sisters and moms bags have also aged beautifully. We hope that we will be able to stop in again if we ever find ourselves in Italy and if not we will try our hand at getting goods shipped from them to us...
