Florence Academy of Fine Arts — Local services in Florence

The academy of fine arts could also be called the Michael Angelo museum because most of the art in there he made . We purchased the tickets from home and good thing we did ,the line to get in was around the block . When we arrived at the gate to validate our tickets there was a lot of commotion and some yelling and screaming . The people in front of us purchased tickets but didn't have proper identification to be accepted entrance . It appeared they purchased tickets for youth and their identification didn't support that. When we made it to ticket counter she asked the ages of our kids and I provided her with school id and passports . We were granted immediate access and it was well worth it ! The David of Michelangelo is here so there is a lot of people wanting to get in but they are terribly organized, we bought tickets for 1:45 and arrived earlier and they did not let us in until 2:15! You have to be in line for a long time and give you no explanation. The ticket is €12 euro and is worth it because of the pieces but all the tickets are sold out most of the times because the people from the inside give the tickets to the local guides so they can sell them...
